We headed to Wedge Mountain Winery at about 2pm on a Saturday. We were surprised that we were the only ones at the Winery but we went in and met Mary Ann. She is one of the owners and we had a great time talking with her and sampling about 5 of their wines. My wife and I who typically aren't wine drinkers left with 4 bottles of wine that I can't wait to open! We will be stopping by here every time we are in eastern Washington!

The Wedge Mountain Winery is a gem! Mary Ann and Charles have much to be proud of. First and foremost - the wines are excellent and the vintner - Charles - takes the time to show you the process he goes through to produce these excellent wines. While there read the history of the winery -- you will see the American Dream. Next - the 'humble' facility. It only seems humble until you are told that the building you are standing in is a 'hay bale' building. Literally the building walls are hay bales - covered in a stucco. If you have never seen (or heard) of one of these this alone is a reason to visit. My wife and I found this place to be well operated, friendly and a great experience. Don't expect a bunch of 'wind snobs' - expect the opposite. Some hard working people that have overcome the odds and have produced a wonderful business. Most amazing is the fact that their wines are sold locally - not a mass export business - and are sold to their customers that they win one at a time - they sure won me over. Visit - you wont regret it.

My wife and I always visit Wedge Mountain Winery when we are visiting Leavenworth and/or heading to Lake Chelan. We sometimes grab a few snacks and have a picnic at the winery. The winery is on an apple orchard right next to the river, its a pretty awesome place.
