I'd driven through Lowden a few times and the local wineries by the highway looked interesting but I was always going by at the wrong time. This time they were open and I was in the need of a regional wine to take to Thanksgiving dinner with friends. It was an easy pull-off with the choice of either L'Ecole or this. I opted for the smaller of the two. It was a wintery day but they were open, friendly and I was the only one there.Lots of little neat gift items and she charged me nothing for my taste. I sort of knew what I was going to get. Quick, friendly and just what I needed.

My personal least favorite stop on the wine trail. They did a poor job of pouring in order and did not explain their wines to we rookies.

This is one of the original wineries in the area with a long history of success. We had a very nice tasting experience. We really liked the Chardonnay and their reds were yummy too. It is located right next to L'Ecole and both should be on your wine tour of the area.

This winery is located right off the highway leading into Walla Walla so it made for an easy stop. I paid for a wine sampling which I found to be just average. I talked with the sommelier a short while and she was quite knowledgeable. For a better winery experience, I would suggest Basel Cellars in Walla Walla.

Woodward Canyon is a wonderful stop for wines. There Chardonnay is smooth, crisp and easy to fall for. Its a wonderful place to stop for lunch and the labels on their artist series of wine will captivate your creative side.

This was right off the highway beside L'Ecole 41 and they gave us a coupon for 2 free tastings at L'Ecole. The wine was good and inside was cute. It's a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Thank you for your review and for being a fan of Woodward Canyon wines. We do offer two tasting options - our Classic Tasting ($5, fully refundable with wine purchase) and the Reserve Tasting ($15, nonrefundable). Please let us know if those were not fully explained. We look forward to seeing you again!

Loved the wine, the staff, the art and the gift shop. Couldn't have been more pleased. They told us more about the area and were SO friendly.!!!

You must taste this wonderful wine and if your wallet permits support their artist wine with part of the sales going toward Cystic Fibrosis

Very disappointed with our experience. Employee more interested in reading her mail and new magazine than helping us.

Great wine, but the staff was not as personable as you would like. Still, a worthwhile stop when in Walla Walla.

Thank you very much. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. Fall really is a great time to visit, since it is a little slower paced in the tasting rooms and the weather is typically lovely.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your private tasting experience at Woodward Canyon. We are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We make every effort to communicate to our guests on our website and during the reservation process both the cost and that the experience is one of a guided hour long tasting with a light accompaniment. We apologize if that was not made clear. While the current release wines were not to your liking, we hope that you did enjoy our 2008 Artist Series Library Selection. We were pleased that others in your group complemented our staff on the setting and wines. Wine is a very subjective thing and we understand that not everyone appreciates the same wines. We regret that we did not deliver to your personal expectations, but we are pleased to see that you enjoyed other aspects of your visit to our beautiful Valley.

we stopped on our way to Yakima. We liked their wines and we would have loved to try the little place where they offered lunch but we had bad timing.
