Beautiful cove with abundant sea life and magnificent views. Beach is rocky but tranquil. Nice campsites that offer decent privacy.

We did a family overnight camping trip and we came here because of the distance. It was only an hour away from Kent and it was a nice ride there. Although it was close to the city, it felt like we were far away. The campsites were located in a thick forest covered with trees which gave us plenty of privacy and shade. Tent pads were flat and the double site that we were in was roomy enough for 4 tents and a bug screen that went over one of the benches. Since we were there for only a day, we went to the park, flew kites and hung out by the beach. I wouldn't mind going there again to do some hiking next time. The nice part was there were no bugs! I highly recommend this camp site if you want to do a quick getaway.

The campground is a canopy of huge maple, cedar and fir. plenty of shoreline to explore and beautiful trails to wander. No hookups for the RV, but clean restrooms with great, hot showers. we camped for 5 days and could join our friends who come by boat, and camp at the dock, which is part of the park. A short dingy ride over to Lakebay Marina for fish and chips or a fabulous burger or just to check out this restored building and dock. They even have music on Sat. you can also drive over, a 10 minute trip. Like to fish?, Bay lake is 5 minutes away, and if you need fresh veggies, "My mother's garden" is just outside the park. Trillium winery is in Home, which you pass through, on the way to Penrose.

Such beautiful scenery! Camped there and loved it. Clean campgrounds and friendly hosts. It was very quiet the days we were there. Looking forward to taking our new son in the future.

Nice, well maintained park. Has a nice (expensive) campsite, boat launch, boat dock, and picnic area with a small beach. Requires a Washington discovery pass

The park is somewhat remote as its way out on the Key Peninsula. It has several campgrounds that I have interest in using this summer on a nice week. I came here for a picnic and walk on the beach and it was really nice and quiet, even it was a weekend. My son and daughter like playing on the beach as their is much marine life to look at and go beach combing. Unlike on the hood canal, the shores are not littered with thousands of sharp barnacles and oyster shells. I enjoyed my time here. Be sure to bring all your food and supplies with you. There is little to buy out on the peninsula.

This is one of our favorite marine accessible WA parks. The moorage dock is located a stone's throw from the Lakebay Marina (recently re-opened with food and fuel) and has a very protected position for about 7-10 boats. The dock area has multiple picnic tables and fire pits, a non-water commode, fresh water and a trail that leads a short distance to the main campground shower/restrooms (with running water!). There are no services at the dock other than a pump-out that only sometimes works. It's very quiet and beautiful, walking trails and picnic tables, beach area.
