I discovered this interesting and unusual museum in Bremerton, WA. I was impressed with the range of the displays. They have really old marionettes and shadow puppets from Asia as well as from other places in the world. It was a great way to get an overview of the world of puppets. They have a donation entry fee- but it is very inexpensive. They have a great selection of finger puppets and hand puppets that you can purchase. They also have a play area where kids can play with puppets. They also have classes for making puppets. I enjoyed learning about the history of puppetry and marionettes. I highly recommend it.

This is THE most charming little spot in downtown Bremerton. This non-profit organization not only houses every kind of adorable puppet and marionette known to mankind (or childrenkind), it boasts a completely stocked children's playroom where they can experiment with hand puppets, finger puppets and marionettes, plus a creativity table where they can "make" the project of the day. The third and most important part is the Museum (donation only). Our curator has collected hundreds of puppets and marionettes from all over the world. This display is changed monthly because of his vast collection. This is fun for the WHOLE FAMILY !

If you like neat artifacts of culture, history and stories check this place out. It has a great history and the lady knows her puppets! Not only is it great for puppet knowledge but it is great source of information. If you are looking for things to do, place to eat from a local's perspective this is a great place to spend some time. It is also pretty neat for kids, they have a play area where you can put on your own show. It's a novelty and you don't find this kind of place very often so check it out!

My friends and visited this small but very unique museum. There is a nice gift shop with a variety of puppets, children's book and novelty hats. In addition to this there is a children's room where kids can use puppets and musical instruments to put on puppet shows in the puppet theatre. The museum has a variety of puppets from many countries. I recommend visiting this museum if you are interested in puppetry. The kids area is a great place to let them be creative.
