I love to visit visitors centers. Great way to get info, see topo maps, talk to locals. Also I am a great postcard writer and those are usually available.

Well organized and there is all you can need. you can book your s´ki lessons as asking all the staff working there for support.it could improve with having more tables for guests.

This place has some very knowledgeable staff that are able to give you some tips and suggestions on things to do in the area no matter what the weather. It does help a lot if you go with some idea of what you might want to do and how far you want to travel. But they have great information and a really cool gift shop!

It has changed since I was a kid thirty five years ago, but change is good. They still have all the books you need to know more about the area and are as friendly as ever.

This visitor center/ ranger station has all the info you will need to visit the area. They also have a nice selection of boos and souvenirs for the entire family. In addition, if you visit the area a lot, you can also pick up a local yellow pages phone book that are free to visitors. There are also very clean restrooms and a picnic area.

The rangers can help you with everything from where to buy gas to local weather facts and where to go hiking. There is a nice little gift and post card assortment at decent prices.

The visitor center is staffed by members of the US Forest Service who can provide you with lots of information about the natural landmarks and features of the area. They also issue wilderness permits for those seeking to go overnight into the Inyo National Forest.

Large selection of books and info on the surrounding area. Also, this is where you pick up your permit for overnight backpacking.

Loves this town. Our visit was brief but we vow to go back to ski. The lakes were beautiful with clear water from melted snow. Precious place
