I rode this on a rental bike, with just a helmet and no other protective gear. I was obviously being extremely cautious as the threat of peeling off skin or breaking bones was front & centre of my mind. The track is steep but it's wide enough that you can make a controlled descent at the edges and not interfere with any of the crazy dudes flying down at 55 or 60 kph. Would be awesome to have all the protective equipment and a familiar bike ... even then, I'm not sure I'd go at 60kph!

The Kamikaze run for Mountain bikes is at the top of the mountain. They hold an annual downhill bike race here. Kamikaze is a dirt with some gravel downhill road that even a novce like myself can go down slow enough on the side without getting in the faster riders way.

Not for the faint of heart. The experts tear through this at mach speed. Stay out of the way! But it is the fastest way off the mountain.
