There is somewhat more free parking in the area of Lovers' Point than in most areas around Monterey. There's a beach, a grassy area, bicycle and kayak rental, and restrooms. There are prettier spots along the shore, but few with easier access.

Lovers Point has been a historic center if local activity going back at least to the very early 1900's. The beach, the old concrete pier. the grassy area at the center and the rocky area out at the point offer different environments for different people. The main beach itself is well protected from large waves and singularly is one of the safest beaches for small children to be found anywhere on the Pacific coast. The old pier is a great place to enjoy wildlife viewing and views of the Monterey Bay. The grassy area above is a great place to spread a blanket and just enjoy the fresh sea air or maybe have a picnic. There are walking paths all around Lovers Point bordered by old stone walls for the safety of small children while enjoying views of the wildlife and the bay from various vantage points. And the rocky tip of Lovers Point offers a little challenge for the more adventurous who like to climb around on the rocks and seek even better vantage points for enjoying the scenery and wildlife.

you want to stop here especially with the kids...let them run the beach while you relax..then take them up to the grass area for more play, while you enjoy the views..hungry? go have a nice family friendly meal at the lovers point restaurant.. prefect or lovers two, great drinks from the bar and dinners are good priced right.

This is just a quaint spot to sit and enjoy company of friends and lovers. It a nice little grassy area, and usually not too terribly busy either. This spot isn't the reason you come to Pacific Grove, but it's a good place to stop by if you're already here.

We went on a Sunday of a race, a bit crowded but I am sure that is an exception. Great views, and nice walk to it too.

It is a must go to for taking in the ocean view. can walk or drive. Yes.... I enjoy it there. Feast of the Lanterns in July at sunset is unique and worth attending. Close to downtown Pacific Grove with great little shops and fabulous food. The Little Red House is affordable little pricey but well worth quality food and above average service. Staff warm friendly and prompt. The Thrift Stores Or Resale shops are upscale quality finds if you search. A brand new Teak Wood Wind chime ($75-100 new) for $10--($75-100 silk scarfes for $5-10).

Nice spot to enjoy a breeze, the sun glistening off of the ocean, and the sound of waves. We coffee and strolled around nibbling on our pastries from Pavel's Backerei. The gulls are quite funny in how gangs will follow you, but it's a relaxing stroll or stop. Ten minutes will rejuvenate you.

This is a really nice little beach, small grassy park, or place to view the sea lions. This is a good spot to start your walk on the great bike/pedestrian path into Monterey. There is even a parking lot, yeah!

Visiting during the recent storms California experienced in December we walked in misty rain, hand-in-hand, experiencing the joy and presence of God and in our lives. We marveled at the raging waves hitting the rocks and the bravery of the surfers challenging that might. Flowers in bloom thriving now from the welcome moisture needed to survive and show their beauty. Wondering at the little statues and the hands who shaped them. Awed by the wind-blown trees whose shape and form reflect the years of ocean winds they have survived. Memories of dear friends who lived and walked here in years gone by, hand in hand as we were, and now he walks alone, missing the love of his live. Pleasant memories.

This beach was one of our kids' (3 & 6 years) favorite part of or trip down the west coast. It was a nice small little beach. Barely any waves, pretty warm water...a food stand to get hot dogs, snacks, ice cream right there...bathrooms. We rented kayaks on the beach..and the kids got to see seals, etc... out in the bay. There were seals right there you could even see from the beach. So, if you are a family looking for a stress free day in the Monterey area...I would go here. The beach isn't going to be deserted. But it's a fun place for everyone.

We took family pictures here and climbed the rocks. High tide can get exciting with the waves crashing on the rocks. Very nice lawn for Frisbee or picnics. Very nice stop.

A nice Sandy beach area in Pacific Grove. Limited parking. Very scenic area. Near the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

its small, alittle unkept, but it is very nice and peaceful both times we as a family have gone. It's a great little stop for those with little ones, or anyone that don't wish to fight rocks, or huge waves.

A beautiful park with a beautiful view. We were fortunate to walk by when a lovely outdoor wedding was taking place, complete with a flower arch and marachi band on a lovely, sunny day! Truly a place for all who love...young and old alike, Great little beach accessible on the northside with a good little place for burgers and soda.
