We managed to get the reservation for the same day visit. Showed up 30 min early to reservation, but they were able to accommodate us right away. Very knowledgable and personable wine maker hosted us. Stayed for 90 min. They reinversed us for the cost of tasting after buying 6 bottles. Thanks!Located in Calistoga, north end of Napa Valley. There is a small downtown area where we had lunch at the place recommended by the winery (Palisade, excellent deli sandwiches under $10). The next town to the south, St Helena has more up scale cute French Country stores and cafe.

The winery is in a very cool location (Calistoga is a really cute, quaint town) and the winery is on the smaller side. If you are looking for a larger winery or something with a more "corporate" feeling, look elsewhere. My wife and I are not big fans of "corporate" settings, reason being we selected this winery! We did a tour with Jeff and he was really awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable about their wines, as well as other wines as a whole (has been in the industry for over 30 years) and took us through the entire facility. He brought us out to the vines and showed us their process and pointed out all the things you do not necessarily think of when at a winery. He was the least pushy tour guide I have ever experienced and did not push us to join their wine club or order wines, but rather educate us and hopefully gain their future business. I would HIGHLY recommend their Port wine...it was without a doubt the best we have ever had, and will be ordering a case of it this week. Additionally, they have really nice olive oil's available that we tried and those were delicious as well. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the winery and is a great experience for people who are looking for a low-key tour and relaxing environment.

I have been to many winery but this one is amazing because of its personal service and attention to detail.Yes its in a barn room with no place to sit but that does not matter to me. We walked to this winery and called to make an apt they took us right away. Jeff was friendly he explained to detail on each wine we tasted. he took us around the grounds with wine in hand and explained how the grapes grow and the steps they take to make sure its prefect. He told us history about Vincent whom seems to be an amazing man. I loved the stories of Vincent Dogs and the names added to his wines. JJ's Blend was one of my favorite and I dislike most blends and loved this one. The Tempranillo was amazing never had one before. I honestly would have bought some wine but I only had a carrier on to take back to Chicago. I may just end up ordering and having it shipped because it was so wonderful. I would recommended this as being a must see is Calistoga.

I visited this winery with some friends who came here on their honeymoon. What a great place! A total hole in the wall tucked away on some back roads. The folks here led me to a renewed appreciation of merlot and deepened my love cabernet sauvignon! And their port-like wine is just fantastic! Vincent Arroyo is also a great place to have a picnic lunch and enjoy more of their wine. Their tour and tasting is quite laid back and the experience is very easy going, just how enjoying wine should be. Those same friends and I also split a case or two of wine from this winery each year.

I was referred here by another fan of Petite Sirah. I was a bit leery because they only sell direct from vineyard. I was wrong. The wines are great, the tasting was more than generous and the tour was so fun. Our guide grabbed a few bottles and then walked us to the vineyard where we tasted what was growing nearby. I've been to 50+ wineries in five countries and this was among the best.

This place was great. Generous tasting and very laid back. Wines are excellent and prices are great. Nothing stuffy or snobby. And I got to pet the doggie. One of the best stops I've been on on many many Napa trips.

November is post harvest time in Napa Valley area hence you will not find any grapes on the vine, its also the low season so expect less crowd in the vineyards. Vincent Arroyo was recommended by a friend so we booked an appointment. We were promptly ushered in and Jeff explained us about each wine and even allowed us to sip our tasting while strolling in the vineyard. All the while he kept telling us stories about the owner of the vineyard, Vincent Arroyo and story behind every wine bottle we tasted. We were having a great time and then entered the man himself, Vincent Arroyo. He is so warm and friendly and patiently took a picture with us and even invited us to the next event they will have at the vineyard in February. If i have sum up my experience in one word, I would say Fantastic

Napa can be over the top. Manicured gardens, $45 tasting fees and $100+ bottles of wine seem to be the norm. Vincent arroyo winery took us away from that ... and blew us away with what really mattered. .. excellent wine (at a good value) and stellar service. Our group made a very late reservation. ... and then snuck in an extra two people. ... they were courteous and unphased. They made a point to learn our names.... gave us a brilliant tour ... and even gave the military vet in our group a nice gift. Don't expect massive stuffed chairs, fine linen and a guy with a snuty french accent .... cause you'll get a regular guy from winnipeg, but do expect a fun time and really nice wine (which should be stellar with a year or two of age -- the reserve petite syrah in particular). Super little understated winery that should not be missed.
