Kuleto Estate's blew me away with my first experience at a winery and vineyard! This was definitely the highlight of our trip to this part of CA. The property is simply amazing! They are located up in the mountains and off the beaten path away from the hustle and bustle of all the larger more 'touristy' winery's in Napa Valley. The drive up is beautiful along their winding driveway and the property is simply amazing with many breathtaking views. We received a more 'intimate' tour and tasting, in my personal opinion, than what we would have received at some of the more larger or popular winery's/vineyards in the area. The tour was very informative. And the wine was very good as well!!! I would definitely return to Kuleto Estate's and recommend it to others.

We had an amazing experience and enjoyed the wine tasting. Cannot wait for our deliver and carrying some of your wines at our wine bar. CHEERS! The windy road going up to the estate is a treat and we stopped a few times to take photos, not to mention the view from the top of the mountain.

Being up in the mountains, Kuleto is so unique compared to many wineries in the valley; plus, the view is spectacular. The wine is consistently exceptional and never disappoints! If possible, have Jonathan guide you through the property. His knowledge and charisma will make the entire experience worth the drive.

The winery is on the top of a hill after a 2 mile one lane wide winding drive up the hill, definitely an adventure for us flatlanders. Once at the top it was worth the drive- fantastic views of the hills and vineyards all across and over the valley. It was like being in heaven. Our host walked us around the property and there was only one other couple with their daughter on the tour. It is worth paying the extra for the tour. The wines were served with cheeses and explanations. The wine was good, not great, the best being the Point Cab. However, the views, ambience and gracious host made it the best place we visited.

This was my second visit to the estate, and still the only vineyard in the Napa/Sonoma area that I would repeatedly come back to. The drive up the mountain is beautiful and the views from the top are breathtaking. The property itself is just gorgeous. The first time I ever came here we thought that the views and property alone were worth the fee, and then boy were we surprised by the delicious wines. Their tasting includes several pours and also all the tastings are paired with very yummy cheeses. The first time we were here several years ago our tour guide was excellent. This past time our guide left a little to be desired, she seemed a little immature and awkward leading tours, but it didn't really bother me since I had been there before. I live in Massachusetts and they are finally changing the laws about having alcohol shipped into the state on January 1 and the Estate was kind enough to let us sign up for the wine club in September so that we could get the free tastings/tours. We are very excited to start getting our wine shipments in 2015!Of note, though, Pat Kuleto sold the estate so we were told that everyone on the estate had to be off the property by a certain time since Pat Kuleto still lives up there. As a result, it's probably best to do the earlier tastings because they will let you enjoy the grounds for a picnic etc, but if you do the last tasting of the day it doesn't leave you with much time to enjoy the property before you have to be off.You also need to plan ahead as this vineyard is by appointment only, but well worth it!

By far and away the highlight of our time in NAPA. The effort and expense that went into recreating a tuscan style retreat on this outrageously gorgeous property is mind blowing. The tour portion is short (and not of the winemaking operation) and most of the time is spent sitting at a gorgeous farm table in an incredible spot drinking as much wine as you care to taste. Lots of options upon request as well if you see something on the menu you didn't get a taste of. And, when you consider how much wine, cheese and time you get here this is a bargain and then some. Spectacular experience.

We love going to Kuleto whenever in Napa. The trip up the winding road is a bit tough but it's worth it to see the wonderful views and taste the great wines! Love the cheese pairings as well. The only con is that they don't waive the tasting fee based on purchases - you have to be a wine club member to get a free tasting.

Such a beautiful view! The wines were great, the setting wonderful and plenty of room to linger after the tour. We visited a few wineries where the appt was tight- here there was no rush. Such a beautiful area. Make this one a must on your trip!!

Our family went to Kuleto estate this past June. We were a group of 10 which was overwhelming to most of the vineyards we went to. But not here. To start off, we did not have excellent directions so we were a bit late. Starting from the CB at the bottom of the road, we knew this place would be amazing. He told us to take our time driving up. The sights on the way up were worth it. We arrived and were pleasantly greeted by Jonathan. He had 10 glasses of Rose waiting for us and started our tour around the property. One word... Breathtaking! Upon completion we were sat at a gorgeous table outside for our tasting. We did not taste one bad wine. We were also given a cheese plate to taste.I cannot say enough about Jonathan. His knowledge was impeccable, his personality was contagious, his passion was amazing. We referred to "Jonathon said..." quite a bit for the rest of our trip and even when we arrived home. We bought a couple of syrahs and zins. While we were sitting there, their pandora started playing Pearl Jam (my all time favorite band), My Morning Jacket, and Alt-J. The music was very low, but when I heard it, I fell in love even more. If I go back to Napa again, Kuleto Estate will be the first place I go!

We cannot stop talking about our fabulous experience at Kuleto. It is a lovely drive just to arrive at the gate -- once the gate opens and you drive through you are really up on the edge of the hills winding your way to the winery. The building there is just beautiful, and our tasting was set up under the pergola where we could enjoy the views and fresh air. (Plenty of cheese was provided, as well!) We loved Jonathan and the way he described everything with such enthusiasm. He walked us around the property, past the owner's house, and up to the breathtaking views of Lake Hennessey. He told us interesting stories about the owner, the winery, and the grounds. The wines were delicious and we had 4 bottles shipped home. Tonight we drank one of the Syrah bottles! It was so good! One reason I chose this winery was because it was described as being particularly lovely, and it did not disappoint. Visit this winery if possible -- the overall experience is remarkable and will leave you with great memories.

A group of my 7 best girl friends and I had the honor of getting an appt at this vineyard for my Bachelorette. I honestly could have sat there all day! The property was simply breathtaking!! We even picked a few lemons from the many surrounding citrus trees and made drinks with them later at the hotel- and the even the lemons were perfect! From the moment we arrived, Steve & Jonathan were the most wonderful and gracious hosts imaginable. They were both fun and knowledgeable- they encouraged us to relax, and take as much time as we wanted to enjoy the Kuleto experience. While all the wine was delicious, the Chardonnay was my favorite ever and I am having it served at my wedding for our wine pairing. This was only last week and I am already dreaming of returning. Everyone should experience Kuleto Estate at least once!

This is more than a wine tasting, what a fantastic experience! Kuleto has built a whole compound on top of a wonderful mountain, Jonathan was our extraordinary tour guide and gave us a fun and exciting tour of the grounds. This place is located very high up off Silverado trail, leave lots of time to get there, the last two miles is a very narrow road but so worth the trip. The wines are fantastic, a great day, especially thanks for Jonathan!

I don't know where to start. I could have spent all day at Kuleto. The views where amazing, the wine was great, and I totally lucked out with great weather. All the tours are my appointment only and very small. I think the largest they said is 14 people, but the two group I saw had 4 people at most.Jane gave us our tour. She was great. Very knowledge and more then willing to answer whatever questions we had. Every view was better then the last. I couldn't get enough of this place. I would recommend bringing lunch and hanging out on the grounds. There isn't much near by, so stop in town and grab something.
