My wife and I attended the Blake Shelton tour on 9/12 and will never go back:Pros:1. Amphitheater staff was great2. Band Perry was outstanding - high energy, great vocals. Blake pretty much just stood there and sang. Great vocals, but not much in the way of presentation.3. Good visibility (until everyone stands up)Cons:1. Parking - facility did not enforce no alcohol or tailgateing. From the moment people arrived they broke out the beer and boom boxes.2. Arrived before the gates opened and waiting in a long line for about 15 minutes. 3. 106 degree weather. Facility isn't covered so avoid hot weather events if you are a cool weather person.4. Many falling down drunks. Many, many places to buy beer in the facility and folks never stopped drinking.5. Found it interesting that they remove the bottle caps from the water bottles before giving you the water. Why? People like to throw water bottles and beer cans. If they're open they hurt less?We left about 45 minutes early (as did others) to avoid the drunks getting in their cars and the 90 minute wait to get out of the parking lot. There were police and CHP at ever highway entrance. I imagine they met their yearly ticket quota on the DUI's.Won't go back.

During this time of the year, very hot weather. Not much shade. Concert location is isolated and easy travels from Yuba City. Sleep Train amphitheater food & drinks are very pricey. No getting around that.

Seats in 207 area for Keith Urban's 'middle of nowhere' tour's end blow out. Great signage, positive staff, plenty of great, great sounds and visuals. The real deal: Keith Urban. He gave and gave, the epitome of passion for the music, the crowd. Pitch perfect band sounds, singing and harmonies. Thousands of people singing along all through the night. We'd go back again.

The Sleep Train amphitheater is a great place for a concert. I have been to two concerts here and found the set up, sound and people that work here excellent. The restrooms are clean and plentiful.

I went to visit Sleep Train in Wheatland for the first time yesterday to see Nine Inch Nails and I was very impressed with the venue. The place is pretty far out in the middle of nowhere but the organizers had fantastical signs so it was practically impossible to get lost. Parking attendants effortlessly and flawlessly directed cars into nice tidy rows as they drove in for parking. It was very streamlined. Will call was very easy to find and the line to the entrance moved incredibly quickly. Bathrooms are clean. They have two separate vendor areas - one on each side of the ampatheatre with plenty of bathrooms, medical tents and food/drink booths. As expected drinks are expensive - you will pay over ten for a beer and almost five for water. Get over it and bring cash or stay home. There isn't a bad seat in the house. We had great seats in the eighth row but sat in the grass for the opening act. We moved to our seats for NIN. The smell of pot was all over the place, which I don't personally care for but your going to run into that at any outdoor concert you go to. I wouldn't bring kids to a rock concert here but as adults it's a fantastic venue.I would visit this venue again for sure. My only complaint is that the nearest hotel is over ten miles away in Marysville. I just don't understand why they don't milk the cash cow and put up a few hotels closer to the venue. Might be smart when you are serving liquor and people are smoking pot in the far corners of the concert and then driving.

This was my second concert at the Sleep Train amphitheater .... And it was great! Parking was easy, workers at the theatre were friendly, helpful and polite. Clean restrooms. I really like the way the staff checked and rechecked tickets as guests went in and out of their seating areas. No section hopping here! Great traffic control after concert thanks to CHP / local police. Concert was amazing. Highly recommended venue.

We've been to a few concerts out here and it never occurred to me to review them. The sound system in this place is awesome! It is truly out in the middle of nowhere! The only odd thing that we ran into is that they did now want to accept my daughter's passport as I.D.! (She misplaced her license) Is it not odd that she can leave the country but not buy beer at a concert? Yeah. I thought so too. Just be aware! We found someone to take it, but it wasn't easy. Their explanation is that it doesn't have your height and weight on it. I don't know about you, but my height and weight don't match my drivers license either! Haha! Anyway, we saw Miranda Lambert and had a wonderful time!

We got there when the opening act was starting for the Miranda Lambert concert and the line to get in was all the way to the venue entrance! If was crazy. But the line moved pretty fast. It wasn't hard to get in and out of there either considering it was packed with people. We brought our own water and snacks in because we were not interested in drinking or standing in any lines. We say on the lawn on a small blanket we brought. I only wish I'd spayed on some big repellent before going in. Our area was almost completely smoke free, 2 girls smoked one cigarette near us one time. .... Not bad. We smelled no pot either. The funny thing was watching the 2 employees who were assigned the steps near or area. Someone had set up like 2 rows of 20 low lawn chairs and maybe 6 people sat in them all night. We couldn't figure out if they were free to sit in or saved so no one really used them and they took up space that could've been used! Just before Miranda came on when it was dark, a girl came over and grabbed two chairs and walked off with them. A girl near us saw and decided to do the same. She was only about 10 feet away from the chairs as it was. She barely unfolded them when the 2 "guards" were immediately in her face and demanded the chairs back. She was confused but gave them and they took them and set them back up 10 feet from her and guards those dumb chairs like their jobs depended on it all night. Chair Nazis. Too funny!!! Anyways, this venue is totally fine, i don't ser what everyone's fuss is all about. It is what it is, an amphitheater after all.

We went there for a Brad Paisley concert. The drive out wasn't too bad. I had heard that it can get really backed up so we left about 2 hours ahead of time. We had no issues getting there. We did pay the extra $20 for premiere parking. Don't know if that was worth it but we were on a paved lot not a grass section. We also paid for Fast Lane entrance tickets. What a rip off that was! Everything I found said that the line to get in could be very long as there is only one way in. I opted to buy the extra tickets that would allow you to bypass the main line. Well we walked right in, no line at all. never did see a special entrance for fast lane. Once inside I even asked one of the workers about it and they had no idea what I was talking about and had never heard of a fast lane ticket. Beware when you buy tickets for this venue and don't waste your money on the fast lane option. There were tons of vendors and food booths. A large number of the food booths only take cash so be prepared for that. There are ones that take cards but it will limit your options. We had seats in section 209, which is in the middle section towards the east side. They were great seats. If I was to go there again I would probably try to get seats more on the west side, maybe in in the 203 section because the sun goes down in that section sooner. Be prepared for the heat, this venue is out in the middle of a field and there is not much shade. Once the sun goes down it is much better and there was even a soft breeze. The are the standard concert issues, such a pricey food and beverages and long lines for the bathroom. We did find that if we walked around to the other side the bathrooms weren't as crowded. The traffic after the event was a total nightmare! they really need to invest into training some staff to assist with traffic control. They had folks out there but they were completely worthless. In fact one guy we saw was standing in the middle of an empty parking lot, away from the road, waving his lighted wand back and forth, as if he was directing traffic... um there were no cars anywhere near him! Once we got to the main road and the real cops and CHP handling traffic it went much smoother and faster. It took us about 45 minutes to get out of the parking area to the main road... We are on the fence if we would go back there for another concert. I think if there was an artist that we really wanted to see we probably would.

We went to see Brad Paisley here on 8/2/2014. Having dealt with the other nightmares in parking at most of these events elsewhere we got there @5 for a 7PM show. Parking was very convenient, AND FREE! I see no reason to pay an extra $20 to take 100 feet off the walk. All employees were friendly and helpful and the mall area next to the stage was very close. We had seats in the second level and the sound was good and the seats comfortable. Food and drink were the usual over priced fare, so not an issue. All these places charge heavy. It took about 40 minutes to drive from Sacramento which was fine. Seemed to be well policed and saw no incidents. But it does get hot in the Valley, so be prepared. But when the sun set the breeze made it comfortable. I'd definitely go back for an act I liked. BTW. Brad Paisley was as awesome a picker as I have ever heard, and one hell of an entertainer.

My first time to Wheatland and I was surprised, in good way! It's literally in the middle of nowhere. Not what I'm used to in Ca. Had a very country feel, like you where in the mid-west. There was lower stage seating and upper grassy area to bring chair and blankets. Food was pricey, but what concert venue isn't? Definitely a refreshing venue compared to the large arena venues everywhere else. They had tailgates too ...pretty awesome. I'll have to remember that for next time ...pre-drinking :)
