There is an outdoor Indian Village that is a short hike and very authentic. When we came upon it the feeling was as if the residents were out hunting. We turned back to go to the museum after some time in the village, but for avid hikers there was plenty more good hiking to do. The museum was filled with wonderful items belonging to the Chumash Indians and gave us all a good insight into life in their time. They also have a guided nature hike to a cave that has ancient pictographs … there is a charge for it I think $10 per adult and $5 per child, but well worth it and helps to support the grounds and museum.
