desert studies center

After nearly a life time of pasing buy this ramp, we finally included it in our trip plans. Lots of iffy history about this site, but it is now a part of the California University System. Specifically, Fullerton runs a Desert Studies center here. Home of the Mojave Tui chub. The school accepts studies in a wide variety of Science specialities. we just went to see what is there and have lunch at one of the picnic tables at the parking lot. Tois are there too. Lodging, lab, studies facilities and dining facilities are evident. A lake and pond, a salt "flat". Lots to see. The old building continue in this new life, as the the "boulevard" and the palm trees. the road in is paved, except for a hunderd yards or so. We have our pictures posted.
