There is a two item minimum for the shows. You are not limited to alcohol, you can get a slice of pie or whatever Marie Callendars has to offer. If you sit too far back, you are constantly bumped by the waiters taking food to the tables.

We've been going to JR's for a few years now. On most nights, it's a lot of fun. There are the very rare occasions where the comics are a miss. It's open only on Friday and Saturday nights. Fridays are always slower, so we like to go then. Don't be surprised if there are only 20 people in the crowd on a Friday. The club is in the back room of the Marie Callender's restautant, with a tiny little portable stage. Sometimes, half of the jokes are about doing standup at "The Pie Hut". You can get dinner before the show, but, we just get pie and drinks. We've seen some really funny standup there. Absolutely a good deal, and the most fun in the SCV.
