poway fun bowl

Poway Fun Bowl has been in Poway forever. We moved to Poway in 1978. My husband I bowled on leagues in the 80's, our kids bowled there in the 90's and now our grandchildren are bowling! They have kept the atmosphere up-to-date and attractive. The owner is very supportive to the Poway Community. Our family recently participated in a fun tournament benefitting the Ed Brown Senior Center at Poway Fun Bowl.

It is a bowling alley.. what is there to review? If you are expecting anything worth reviewing, this is not the bowling alley for you. There is no high end bar, good-looking wait staff, hipsters styling their new duds, or high-end pool tables for use. If you are looking for a hip and happening place, keep looking.If you are into a traditional bowling alley with middle-aged and not very friendly overworked and underpaid staff, you have found it. THe snack bar cooks up your fries made-to-order (I suggest the BIG BASKET, which will easily feed 6 people).One thing it has going for itself is the cheap beer and well drinks, karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights in the bar, and the hourly pool tables in the arcade for those with minors. There is also air hockey!I was a bit peaved that the staff told us my little kids (ages 2 and 5), who were using the bumpers and the ball ramps, that it was okay that they just wore their crocs and didn't require shoes, yet then goes and charges us for shoes. When we tried to get the money back he said no - shoes are required if they have them. Ugh!At least pricing is typical.
