I last played Graeagle Meadows about 15 years ago and I remembered it as a very average, somewhat attractive course. It is much better than that. While the course is not particularly long, the layout is relatively challenging . The well kept greens frequently are guarded by bunkers, though the putting surfaces have enough contour in them to protect themselves. Water comes into play a half dozen times and will make you think twice about approaches to three or four greens. The setting in the mountain valley is lovely, but not stunning. Nearby Whitehawk Ranch is probably a better course, but Graeagle is almost certainly number two in the immediate area, and at a substantially lower cost.

Set in the Sierras at the head waters of the Feather river. It's beautiful location! The course is fairly flat and very walkable. Conditions are good but not excellent. The course is mostly open with holes 15, 16, 17 and 18 set in the woods. A few forced carries and a bit of sand here and there. Not an overly difficult course. Does have some long dogleg left holes, that a draw is a must. In all probability you will see wildlife. Also, a nice restaurant on the balcony with a view. Prices $60 to $90.

Graegle Meadows was the first 18 hole golf course in Plumas County. It's a fairly forgiving golf course, just play it forward where you are comfortable. The opening hole is probably the most difficult hole to hit the fairway on the golf course from the blue tees. You have to hit a draw in order to make it around the corner. If you miss hit your drive, hopefully it will end up on number 2 fairway. The golf course is in great shape and plays very fair. The wind can come up in the afternoon making several holes including the par 3 number 8 hole a little challenging because you are typically hitting into the wind. Go out and play and enjoy the round!. The golf shop is well stocked and has a friendly staff.

It doesn't get more serene and beautiful than this, not to mention the great condition of the course. A highlight of our trip.

Graeagle Meadows is in great shape. A fairly open golf course which lets you grip it and rip it. Very enjoyable to play. One of the top courses in the area.

Golf with scenic views, mountain stillness, clean air, pines and streams. What could be better than playing golf with these surroundings?

Have been playing here for 30 years. The last 5 have really been great with new Super and new equipment. Don't have to pay extra for walking and it is a joy.

Opened in 1968 along the banks of the Feather River, one of eight nationally designated “Wild & Scenic Rivers,” Graeagle Meadows boasts a well-earned reputation for dramatic mountain and river views. One of the premier championship courses during its heyday, Golf Digest still rated the course as one of the “Best Places to Play” for 1997-1998. Graeagle Meadows is the farthest north of the North Tahoe selections, and is also quite possibly the one boasting the most elevated tees.If you're looking for an escape that's further out from the escape that is Lake Tahoe, Graeagle Meadows is a great location for a round.

Having played montain courses in Colorado for years, I would have to rate this as their equal, at minimum. From the staff to the course itself, no golfer should miss this opportunity if they are in the Reno/Tahoe area.

Highly recommend this course. We really enjoyed playing here. Very close to downtown Graeagle---small as it is.
