The Nello Olivo tasting room looks like a cave in the basement of an old home turned into an event facility. We stopped because they had a Sangiovese, which is my husband's favorite. It's a unique place. Small production, good wines made from some grapes most of us have never heard of. Most are of Italian origin. Some are very very pricey. Worth seeing the Nello story.

Our daughter took us to this tasting room....it is an original wine cellar. Nello Olivo and his son are sooooo passionate about their wines....and no wonder, they are amazing. Each one we tasted was our favorite!!! Their tasting room is located below a quaint, historic house. Nello is such an interesting person....he has many stories to tell about his family......and his many siblings. Before we left, we purchased two cases of wine and joined their wine club. We look forward to each time we get our delivery. We ended up buying a wine fridge to store our precious cargo. It is worth a side trip if you are anywhere near the area......
