My husband found this museum online and wanted to check it out. They have limited hours, so make sure you plan around that. It's staffed by volunteers and is essentially free to tour. They have a box set up to accept donations if you are feeling so inclined. The volunteers were very welcoming and offered to walk around with us through the museum. We declined as we like to walk around and read the information ourselves, but they were available if we had any questions. They have several interesting little displays. Plus they have an outdoor section that I thought was a lot of fun! They had small buildings set up with various displays such as a fireman's house, assayer's office, one room schoolhouse, etc. They also had a section showing different types of plants the local Native American tribe used for various food and medicinal purposes. I thought that was especially fascinating.
