I am always impressed and thankful when a resource is made public without charging the visitor. It is not about the money but rather shows an attitude, a desire towards betterment of the humanity. This is definitely the case here, where the Krishnamurti Foundation offers lectures, books, DVDs about this impressive person who did much to inspire people on the road of self-inquiry and discovery. Nearby on a small hill is a pavilion where one can meditate with beautiful views over the valley. The entire place is wrapped in the scents from orange trees that surround it. This is a wonderful way to spend an hour or two in Ojai.

So happy to have finally made it over from the UK after wanting to visit for many years.The centre lived up to and beyond any expectation in its tranquillity and ambience of peace and deep intelligence. All the staff where extremely welcoming, kind and informative.I look forward to returning in 2016.

J. Krishnamurti was one of the greatest and most enigmatic spiritual teachers and philosophers of the 20th century. His words continue to both challenge and resonate for anyone on the "inward journey". Visiting the extensive Krishnamurti Library (books, CDs and DVDs all available to explore) at the Pepper Tree Inn and having the opportunity to chat with the warm, friendly and open staff there was a beautifully moving experience. The grounds are fragrant, gorgeous and relaxing. Perfect for stilling the mind, or shaking it up a bit as you ponder the Big Questions. As Krishnamurti might concur - the choice is yours.

I really enjoyed my time here. Michael was very nice and informative. I watched a dvd of Krishnamurti and got engulfed in his philosophy. Great place to visit.

Ojai is a small town between Santa Barbara and Ventura. It's long been known to be filled with spiritualism, artists and health enthusiasts. The Krishnamurti Education Center is full of wonderful material, the grounds are lovelyand Ojai is a very sweet town to explore; an outdoor bookstore, natural food store,lots of local artists selling beautiful things, hiking trails and more.As for the K.E.C center, its a must see if you're in Ojai. The Pepper Tree Retreatis a fabulous, and very reasonable place to stay as well, the Retreat was Krishnamurti's home for 64 years.

This is the second time I stay here. Lovely place to relax, enjoy gorgeous gardens, caring and friendly staff, delicious oranges from their orange groves, great rooms, and peace and quiet. Enjoy!

The Krishnamurti library, located in the home where Krishnamurti lived when in Ojai, houses a small collection of Krishnamurti books available for browsing and reading, as well as a bookstore with a variety of Krishnamurti and Krishnamurti-related books, CDs and DVDs. This library definitely is worth a visit for those who are interested in learning more about Krishnamurti or in acquiring books or DVDs of his talks. If you cannot visit, you also can order from them.

Loved the peace and quiet and great library of Krishnamurti materials. Have stayed here before and like to try different accommodations otherwise would have stayed here again. Great to visit.

Worth your time if you want to do some inner exploration. Very nice site and facility, but wouldn't go out of your way if you're not there to do some learning.

Krishnamurti was an amazing man and everyone should read at least one of his books. He did not believe in gurus and he was not a proponent of organized religion of any kind. Rather, he suggested to each one of us that we attempt to see beyond the veils of our conditioning and experience the world without the burden of thought. Two of this greatest works are "Think On These Things" and "You Are The World.The Krishnamurti Education Center has many, many books, DVDs and other material to borrow at the site and study. They also have a great bookstore. This is a must stop for any spiritual speaker.
