Drove 25 minutes to the trail head, which is the first gate on the right after you turn on Rosé valley rd. and the trail head is to the left once you walk past the "road closed" gate (it is small and easy to miss if you aren't looking for it). Patches of snow on the trail. Beautiful the whole way up and then amazing vistas at the top. Worth the hike. Our only complaint would be there were no trail markers (other than that first one).
