My fiancée and I have been enjoying exploring California's wine. After wonderful experiences at MJA and Burrell School (other Summit Road wineries), we made the poor choice to visit Silver Mountain.Because we typically are driving, the two of us share a single glass, but buy bottles of what we like. When we said we only needed one glass, the proprietor became hostile and aggressive, informing us that we would have to pay a double tasting fee regardless; apparently we were "paying for the experience."In the 50+ wineries we've visited in California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, we have never encountered this poor level of customer service, or had such an unpleasant experience.

This gem of a winery and vineyard tucked into the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooks a glorious panorama, especially at day's end looking west on the newly expanded back deck. The wine is absolutely delicious, and sumptuous Wine Club picnic dinners paired with Silver Mountains finest pours are a not-to-miss summer experience! Live acoustic Irish music mingled with soft summer breezes creates a magical atmosphere! It's a lovely bit of time away from it all.

Incredible. An amazing example of what can be achieved with a vision. The wines are indescribable, the staff and owner are wonderful people with the ability to demystify the process while interjecting a bit of humor along the way!

Marcie & Marie were so welcoming, knowledgeable and fun. If I lived locally I'd definitely join the wine club - their dinners sound fantastic! The owner was also there and was very helpful and interesting to talk to. The wines were all good and there were 10 to taste as well as cheese and crackers - very generous helpings of everything. I left with 4 bottles and could have easily taken more but my suitcase can only manage so much!
