micke grove zoo

I can recommend visiting the historical museum. It's an awesome historical collection of regional agricultural technology, traditions, life-style and craftsmanship.

Micke Grove Zoo is a small zoo located between Stockton and Lodi. The grounds include a Park, an amusement area (kinda old,) a Japanese Garden, a disc golf course, the San Joaquin History Museum and of course the zoo. The zoo is a bit small but they have been working hard to upgrade all the enclosures to current standards. They have a nice mix of animals and i believe they have a breeding program for tamarins. If you become a MG Zoological Member you get free parking, free admission to the Zoo and discounts at the gift shop and snack bar. In the summer they bring in a Lorikeet exhibit. This is a great place to take the kids or grandkids. In the summer the animals are more active in the morning.
