The Lake Arrowhead is a man made lake and has some breathtaking residences on the shores. The little village centre has a a variety of eateries, hotels and other commercial establishments. There is a boating facility available on payment. We took the medium sized boat that seats about 50 people to go around the lake. The skipper was a jovial person with good local knowledge and high sense of humour. All the residences in the lake shores had boats of varying sizes and shapes. Surprisingly, the lake water was very clean, considering the number of powered boats riding within. Anti pollution rules must be very stringent and strictly enforced, I am sure. There were a few colonies of water birds feeding around the tourist flocked areas. The boat ride was just about 90 minutes and very refreshing. The little village had some Halloween festival happening there and by the time we reached there, it had just closed for the day.

Stater Brothers grocery store and a lot of gift shops and outlet stores. Worth an hour or two of browsing and shopping.

Always like to walk and visit the shops and see what great bargains we can find. They have some specialty shops worth your time.

Luckily we came fort a visit during Octoberfest (without realizing it). The village was alive with song, dance, food, and vendors galore. It was a wonderful day! Came back the next day, Monday, and it was deadsville. There are several nice shops, the Belgium Waffle House was tasty, the views are wonderful. We did it all in about 1 hour. There are just too many empty stores. Too bad because this village could be amazing. It's worth a visit if you're in the area.

I usually go to Pendleton Woolen since I visit friends and family in Vermont and at times I find some great deals here. I won't say each time. Last time I bought four scarves, one for myself and three for friends, $10 each, beautiful quality. A blazer $40 (marked down from $200, and a sweater $55 (marked down from $280). The other stores I like to poke my head into; Bass shoes, the jewelry stores, ice cream, etc. http://www.thelakearrowheadvillage.com/#!accommodation/c1f2iThere is not enough to keep my husband entertained but I can shop for three hours max and then move on to dinner, perfect.

Nice place to walk and take in the lake views. Lots of shopping, and restaurants. Parking can be a bit challenging on the weekends.

Good shopping with several outlet stores with discount. Nice lake view. Fast food chain stores also. Nice place to walk along and have a nice brunch at the waffle restaurant. Free parking.

Lake Arrowhead is a private lake so going to the Lake Arrowhead Village is one of the best ways to take in the lake. There's a number of restaurants ranging from fast food (including the golden arches and pizza) to Thai, Mexican and seafood, some which have great seating right on the lake. There is also handful of factory outlet stores and some other stores that sell souvenirs and artwork. If you don't eat or shop though, you can still catch some very nice views of the lake and have a nice walk.
