hemet museum

Interesting Hemet history, information about the lake, Hemet people and the bones of animals that were found during the lake's construction. However, I've lived in Hemet all my life so probably why I found it so interesting, not sure how interesting out of towners will find it.

The volunteers at the Hemet Museum are an enthusiastic bunch who are constantly striving to improve the quality of the exhibits. Many antique photos of Hemet have recently been beautifully mounted. There are antique farming implements and articles of clothing, as well as Native American artifacts collected in the area. Ramona Pageant posters and photos abound. The docents can answer just about any question about Hemet that you can think to ask! Books about Hemet are available for purchase.The museum building itself is worth the visit. It's a restored train depot in the center of town. There used to be a little sandwich and yogurt shop at one end of the building, but it is closed now.
