It's a cute little museum to visit. The small town of Groveland is always a joy to visit! Lots to see and do if you venture out.

run entirely by volunteers, it's small, but well-done. Good collection of local history, Yosemite info, and Gold Rush exhibits. Nice little gift shop too. Also many videos of local history topics. Docents are helpful. Well worth a stop on your way to Yosemite. Be sure to visit the library (in the same building) and check email or pick up some reading material for the trip.

We spent about an hour wandering around this museum reading the exhibits, looking at the models, and seeing what was for sale in the little store. The docent was very friendly and very proud of the museum, as she should be. It was well put together and definitely worth the time.

A nice little museum to learn about the Groveland area and Yosemite. Some great NASA information from some locals who worked with the department.

Next to the Mary Laveroni Park, a place to stop relax and picnic. The museum is gifted with a dedicated and very helpful staff, all knowledgeable volunteers. You can see a diorama old Big Oak Flat Mine, view some of NASA early gear that was donated to the museum. Learning the local history so much improves your visit to Groveland.

The Groveland Museum has interactive things to do and miniature Mining and Logging Exibits that move and tell a story. There is historical information about the area and great Docents to answer questions.

Thanks to the hard work within the community, sufficient funds were raised to open the Groveland yosemite Gateway Museum and volunteer docents are proud to show off the displays of local history in this area. The gift shop offers an excellent selection of books and gifts.

Very pleasant docent showed us around, provided videos & was quite knowledgeable. The exhibits are very well done,; it's small but worth a stop.

I've been golfing here for 5 years now and have never had other than a great experience. One of the best "mountain" golf courses I've ever played.

Almost stumbled upon it whilst stretching our legs after a long drive. Tucked down a slope along from Hotel Charlotte. Small but well informed about the gold rush which was instrumental in forming this small town. Several interesting artefacts from local old families. The lady in charge could have talked forever she was so enthusiastic really helpful. The video was also a bonus about the area .
