Start the trail at VIkingsholm and hike along Emerald Bay to Rubicon point. The almost 5 mile hike will provide you with stunning views of Emerald Bay and the Lake Tahoe beyond.

This is a beautiful trail and mostly flat with only moderate up and downs! A tip....start the hike in the state park....we started at vikingsholm which had a really step uphill return!

I travel to Moab often and wanted to come see if the hype was real or not. IT IS REAL. This trail is the real deal. DO NOT go on it trail if you don't have a guide. I hired Rubicon Safaris to take me and it was worth every cent.

Amazing trail but rugged. Need to be prepared with spare parts and wilderness camping. Need to be experience with difficult Jeep trails.

Granddaddy of them all, a "10" should be on all offroaders bucket list. Jeep Jamboree does a great job once a year putting a rally together. Don't try this alone.

Once again had a great time on the trail! Going with Jeepers Jamboree is a great way to see the trail for the first time! They provide trail guides, mechanics, and food! :) cannot wait to go again!

Don't go off roading, Don't have an off road vehicle. Have seen pictures of the Rubicon trail and that is not what I do. I stay on mostly flat roads and some not so flat.

It you own a 4 wheel jeep with good clearance and some spare parts, this is the trip for you. it is noted for its challenging rocks and dips to navigate through. The scenary is great and there are some wonderful overnight stopping locations. The trail ends just a little south of Homewood on Lake Tahoe. Make sure you tell someone when you go and it is best to have some other jeepers in your group.

This trail offers some great rock crawling and amazing landscapes. I was surprised at how crowded it was because we travelled it midweek. Still it is an awesome trail!!!!!

This is the pinnacle of offroad trips. It is for highly modified/purpose-built vehicles, and unless you are a mechanic, don't go alone. We go with a group of 12-20 'rigs', and take three days to make the 17 mile trek. Camping at Ellis is a good first night, you have cleared the 'rookie filter' and it is a nice campsite, with a potty and running water. Second day, up over Walker Rock-and off past the Little Sluice to Buck. Camp at Buck, there are potty's there, next day off to Rubicon Springs via the always popular Big sluice. At the springs there is running water, potty and the opportunity to swim and bask if the weather is good-which it was. Next day, up Cadillac Hill, and if you still have all the parts on your rig-stop at Inspiration Point, take a pic or two, and then off to Tahoma.. Absolutely beautiful trip, spectacular views and scenery. If you travel in a smaller group, you can get to camp early enough to take advantage of some great hikes.

The Rubicon is awesome! The trail is challenging! Try and go with Jeepers Jamboree your first time! They make it worth it!
