My son and I visited the museum and spent over an hour there. I had no idea that people lived in the region 10,000 years ago. There was lots for kids to do, and my son actually learned something and the staff was eager to help him and answer questions. They told me they are going to change the exhibits in January. It sounds interesting. You will walk in at the present day and then walk back into time. We'll be back in 2015!

The Arch Center has a professional, friendly. and helpful staff. The museum has some excellent displays and the docent there will tell you about the history of San Diego county. Stop by, it is fun and interesting.

Went there to see what they have to offer. I do not like to take the wind out of their sails, but I felt like it was a bit immaturish. As if the Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts were running the place. It really did not have anything of interest for Adults. You can see their offerings in 10 minutes

Great little museum of San Diego history from the prehistoric to historic times. We like to take the convertible on a drive and stop here. The Center is staffed with very knowledgeable docents for a weekend visit. Hard to believe there was all this history before San Diego was paved over by development. An old Indian cemetery is near this Center. The Center has occasional lectures that I have been to and field trips within the community. This is definitely a good stop if you are in the area.
