We get these two items in monthly so they are as fresh as we can get them. There are different varieties of California almonds so it's possible you may have tasted a different variety that you liked better. All almonds sold in California have to be pasteurized and we choose only high quality almonds that are heat (steamed) and pasteurized and we never use chemicals. This shouldn't make a difference in taste though.We're sorry you didn't enjoy these two items but are glad you are enjoying the olives.
