We originally had planned to drive to Napa but decided to try the Aptos, Santa Cruz region after reading great reviews of the wineries in the region. We were pleasantly surprised finding this lovely place. It was a gorgeous day in January. We did the tasting of 5 or 6 wines. I love Pinot Noir and they had other delicious selections as well. My only regret is that we had not thought to bring any snacks and none were available. Wish we could have bought some bottles but since we were traveling and flying it was not feasible. We had a great time & made wonderful memories. I highly recommend this winery.

This is a hidden gem of a place. Friendly and knowledgeable help. Nice area to visit. Simple...but nice

Gorgeous setting far enough away from the coast so the morning fog does not cloud the sky. We paid $10 to taste seven different wines that were made at least in part with grapes grown on the property.There is a beautiful large shade tree grove that you can sit under on a warm day and enjoy your samples. Many brought picnics and were clearly enjoying the wonderful property. We spent some time with the owner and got a real feel for what running a winery was all about, and how much she loves the business. Everyone else we met was very friendly.This place is out of the way, but I highly recommend making the trip and buying their wines.

Nicholson is a family operation with vineyards and an olive grove. I've visited during special events such as Corralitos Wine Trail and Passport weekend and have found the experience to be really enjoyable. The family gets involved and everyone is extremely warm. The wines are great, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel are among the varietals they are making. The winery is open by appointment only to groups of 6 or more. Visit them during one of the days they are open for a special event!
