some people here say its not as big, but there were tons of slides (Plus they were in process of building more). They just opened a year or so ago when we went, and was relatively quiet! Which meant we were always at the front of the line. This was the BEST time we have ever had at a waterpark. I think it will maybe become busier as people get to know it, but its not on the strip, which means you have to specifically seek it out. Its a great place to "escape" Vegas and just have some good old fun. The slides are fun, wave pool gets WILD! Cab ride was about $35 and if you have a group, just split the cost if that is too much. You will be there for half the day, so id say its worth it.

To much for your money. Park is small. The old wet and wild was better. We can have more fun at home with our pool.

So many slides, a lazy river, super waves and great staff. This is the place to have some serious water fun.

We bought the admissions discount on LivingSocial, which was $20 per person. Upon arrival today, October 5th, I decided to see if there were any of the standard cabanas available. There were; and what an indulgence! We chose Cabana #24 which is right next to the entrance to Cowabunga River. I put my credit card down as they keep an open tab for Cabana guests. One of the staff members walked us out to our cabana and explained the features of the park to us, as it was our first visit. Our server, Kylie, greeted us just a few minutes later with two large pitchers of ice water and a few cups, explained that she could get us anything we wanted that was sold in the park, and it would simply be added onto our running tab. There is a call button inside your cabana that you press, and it pages the server so that they know you need assistance. She was always there within a few moments! We are excited to do this again next spring with a larger amount of people. We asked our server if we could request her next year, she was so sweet!Pros of Cowabunga Bay (versus WnW): *Parking is less expensive.*Standard admission is less expensive.*There are no rental fees for inner tubes or life vests.*The wave pool is much larger, and MUCH more intense. Note: Watch your little ones, especially those who aren't as comfortable in rough water. The waves were knocking over the adults!*The lazy river is longer and wider, although not as deep; with a steady current and several more areas for you to get splashed by waterfalls, hoses, etc. The entry is very wide and has a "beach" feel to it with a slow decline into the current of the river.*Stairways leading up to the slides are plastic instead of metal (huge sigh of relief during Vegas summers!)*More than half of the concrete walkways are treated with a paint that makes the surface cool to the touch (another sigh of relief!)*Arcade that adjoins the gift shop*Easy to navigate this park! The only con of CB (versus WnW):No free sunscreen, though I don't know of anyone that lives in Las Vegas/Henderson who doesn't own at least one container of the stuff. We are pleased to recommend this water park to our friends and family. The sense of community, and the happy nature of everyone we came in contact with was awesome. Bravo, Cowabunga Bay - and Thank You Kylie!

We spent a morning there, everyone enjoyed the rides. Plenty of seating / sun loungers and shade. Fast food available. Good family fun, with several life guards at each ride / attraction. Life jackets available for your children.

We really enjoyed our day here and they have the best wave pool we have ever been in! The slides were fun, it will be even better when all of the slides are completed and open and might help the long lines. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. If you plan on renting a cabana, paying a little extra for the Caban-a-rama section is worth it. The furniture seems a lot nicer than the other cabanas we seen when walking around, and having the fridge and ceiling fan was a great feature which we used the whole time. This area also has a private pool for that section which is great to avoid the crowds when you need a break and just want to relax! Food was good too!

Another great attraction in the Vegas area. Lazy river was fun and relaxing. Wave pool was exciting, and most of our group spent the day there. Even though there were not that many slides you can see where they are adding more for the next season.Arrive early enough to get a seat in a covered area so when you are not in the water you can relax away from the blazing Vegas sun. They allow you to bring a bottle of water, but - they would not allow coolers with water in them, so every time our gang wanted water we had to go to customer service to get a bottle from our cooler. Another con- the life guards did nothing when a rather large woman kept exposing her breasts

Although there are more slides to come we really enjoyed it, have 2 kids 12 and 8, they loved the wave pool. The food was good better burgers than wet n wild. It was pleasant to walk around got loungers no probs and hardly any queueing, it's not as crowded as wet n wild was and the water was warmer. The staff were very friendly. Will return next year when hopefully it's all finished.

We visited this park with our grandchildren and enjoyed ourselves. Good, modern lockers, food concession, children's play area and some fun rides. Check out the Tube Drop! Really good prices, $10 Seniors and kids under 3 are free.

Tried this new place out on the Friday before Labor Day weekend and it was not so crowded that we couldn't enjoy ourselves. Got to ride every ride, sometimes twice, without waiting in a long line. The rides are amazing... really fun, especially the gravity drop tube! There's a VIP pool off to one side that costs a little extra, but is very nice. The 4-ft wave pool is fun for all ages. There was also a separate area for the little ones. Overall, the park is nicely designed and well thought out. The place is generously covered with shade umbrellas, and there were numerous cabanas all over the park that could be rented for a nominal fee that is great for parties or families. The lazy river had a lot of water spouts to dodge and shriek, but I found it moved a little too slow for me. The park was very clean and tidy. Staff really friendly! Easy to reach from the freeway. The most amazing thing was the low cost for Seniors: $9.99! Perfect price for us because we're not likely to stay there for the whole day, like young folks or families. Very smart of them to do that! We loved it, and we can't wait to go back with my kids and grandkids next time they fly into Vegas.

We recently had the PLEASURE of visiting Cowabunga Bay in Henderson NV - we got our "admission" with a Groupon - 100.00 for admission for 4 - a large Cheese Pizza and 4 Drinks - AMAZING DEAL!! - We went on a Friday - we weren't to excited about going on a "weekend day" but it was manageable - went for opening (which I strongly suggest) park was not busy at all! - started to get busy around 1:00 - One of my daughters got a "chunk" of skin taken out of her arm on the carpet ride but the first aid attendants were wonderful with her - got her a band aid and off she went for the rest of her fun. Carpet ride was my girls favorite TIP: pull up on the front of the carpet and keep your arms tucked in - this is the secret to getting over the last hill!!my girls didn't attempt to go into the wave pool it was extremely busy and they weren't into fighting the crowds - but the lines on other rides seemed to move smoothly: they only have a limited amount of tubes so you have to wait at the bottom until one becomes available and then head up for your turn - however there are HUGE umbrellas that you wait under so you aren't in the direct sun for the wait.Pizza we had was good - all the other foods seemed to be a reasonable price (high but your in a park so what do you expect). Only thing was water - it was 3.00 a bottle I think that should be at least cut in half so people can stay hydrated and not break your bank!! they have lockers that you can access multiple times through the day (we didn't use them but they had 3 different sizes all with different prices) LOTS of lounge chairs to be had (if you go early)Lazy River was RELAXING and the perfect temp. for a HOT HOT day!!I loved the BIG bright colours around the park and it was kept so clean Can't wait till more rides open - they say there are currently 2 under construction. We visit Vegas at least 2 times a year and this will now be a MUST to do on our holidays - we will defiantly be back!

This water park is great, it wasn't finished so more rides to come but still fun, not crowded, the food was better than wet n wild. The wave pool is fab, rougher than wet and wilds wave pool which the kids enjoy. Friendly lifeguards, stayed all day.

After a year of delay, we finally had the opening of the newest water park in the valley - Cowabunga Bay, in Henderson. It's right around the corner from where we live so we saw how each structure got built and we eagerly waited for the official opening. We got season passes for everyone and since it's just within walking distance from home, my kids just go there whenever they want. It's a refreshing and fun activity for the whole family. My kids say it's much better and more fun than the competition which is located in the West side of the valley. For me, the fact that we can just walk to Cowabunga makes it better. I highly recommend it for the whole family. If you can afford to get the season pass, I tell you, it's more cost effective if you plan to go there at least 3 times during summer.

Came here for a birthday party so we didn't have to pay admission but I saw the prices and it was about the same as most other water parks. About $36 per person I think. Concession stands were what would normally be priced for hot dogs, fries, etc. The park was very clean and brand new. Went during the week so the lines were very short which was great.
