It's true: the recession dealt an alarming blow to Lake Las Vegas resort. But, in the past few months, this glorious masterplan has begun to turn the corner. True, many shops are still closed, but the golf courses still play and there are at leas three good places to eat. There is an easy exit road from Sunset and Boulder Highway into the resort. That means that it is simple to get to other places. Yes the Lake Mead Boulevard entrance is still open, but this new entry makes it easier. Finally, Lake Las Vegas is beautiful. The architecture, water, greenery and shopping areas for landed gentry still make this an interesting place to visit. And, costs are reasonable. They won't be for much longer because this place is turning the corner. Watch for new construction in the next 3-12 months.

This resort could be amazing, but unfortunately it seems rather sad and overlooked. The Casino has now shut down as have most of the shops and restaurants. It has been styled so well, and the Hilton and Lake are very pretty. Hopefully things will improve soon. Really pleased we weren't staying here, but just visiting for the afternoon.

Although it is not as bustling as in the past, Lake Las Vegas Resort is definitely a place to visit. There are cute shops, wonderful restaurants and live entertainment on summer weekends. Check for the many special events that are fun. The lake is a beautiful backdrop and the setting is quaint and unexpected.

Most shops, restaurants, and the casino are closed. Nice concept poor execution. Don't stay here unless you plan on driving somewhere else for everything.

The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort - was our perfect stop for our family on a Road Trip summer of 2014. We did not want to stay on the strip in Las Vegas with our than 10 year old twins. So we found this beautiful resort, just about 15 minutes from the Vegas strip. Our stay was on a Friday night and the hotel was very busy, but we still felt well taken care for and the Service was Amazing. With two pools to choose from and a pool party with food and entertainment for the kids this was our oasis in the desert. They even played a movie pool side with popcorn and s'mores. None of us wanted to leave. I highly recommend starting at this hotel. It was the perfect family stop!

Lake Las Vegas without an exception is a diamond in high quality and beauty. With two wonderful golf courses on both sides of the 10 mile shore line of Lake Las Vegas, the Village offers many surprises especially with excellent food.

Feels like you are in a little city in Europe, peaceful nice views, just walking around willRelax you, little puddle boats to browse the lake, fun place to be.

This place will not cost you a dime if you just want to wander about in a peaceful setting. However, there is a full casino (with rooms if you want to stay over) and several tempting restaurants. Worth a short drive to get away from the LV hustle and bustle.

First place I ever did stand up paddle and fell in love with it. A great place to get away from the bustle of the strip and relax. We have stayed at the resorts and also rented a house with pool for a spring break week. Rode bikes around the trails and rented a boat on the lake.

This property is beautiful, exquisitely maintained and the staff shine as brightly as the polished floors! We had one unfortunate incident at the spa, which was handled by the hotel management professionally and with great compassion when we met with the Front Office Manager and Director of Operations the following day. When you travel as much as I do, it is likely that there will be a few "oops" moments on your journey. For me, it is how anything other than a perfect experience is handled that makes it a truly exceptional property when things are turned into a positive to make the remainder of your stay magnificent. My partner and I felt that we were treated like special guess at someone's home!Any detail that we requested was handled with care and true interest in making us comfortable and happy. The rooms are very nice and we were in room 1536 which had a lovely view of the courtyard gardens and then to the lake beyond. It is in the main building directly above the lobby area and had a small Juliet balcony with two chairs to enjoy the beautiful weather Las Vegas has in October. We also visited the larger suites which are over a bridge walkway along the lake. These roads are currently being up David with new carpet and other new furnishings which will make them spectacular for our return visit in February. And important note is that the property does have the ability to accommodate special diets, including gluten-free. Just be sure to ask. Lisa, the Director of Food and Beverages, will be sure to make all of your requests a reality.Other special staff members include Ximena, the Front Office Manager, and Michael, the Director of Operations. While they made our stay special, the beautiful smile from Gabriel, as he always graciously opened the door to the hotel front entrance, made our time there feel like we were being welcomed home.

So sad to see what happened to it after the boom and bust. It is a little village where youc an get everything you would have needed, can rent water toys too.Too bad it isn't busy now, the casino closed so not so many visitors. A bit of a drive but it's great for relaxing if you need to get away from it all.

It is a very nice place to see but with economic conditions so bad, the place was like a ghost town. We stopped off on the way back from Hoover Dam. I had been to Lake Las Vegas years ago when it was a booming place. I am glad we did not make a special trip to go out there because it would have been a waste of time. Very disappointing place now.

LLV is a wonderful location. It is well off the strip. It has wonderful natural beauty. We stayed there when it was taking off and we have stopped there several times over the years. Unfortunately, the economic conditions have created a ghost town.I truly hope it can come back, it is such a wonderful development. On the plus side, it is affordable now to own real estate there.

We attended a wedding at lake Las Vegas. The man made lake is beautiful. There is little to do in the area. The food and drinks in the area are expensive. After 9.00 pm everything is closed. If you want to get away from the busy Las Vegas strip this is the place to go. It is about a 45 minute drive on the freeway from the strip. The hotel is beautiful and quiet

The property is in a secluded place, very quiet very peaceful. Rooms are very clean, bed very soft. Staff very polite, however there are no shops open in this estate, its all shut. so if you want to buy anything you really cannot. Small lakes makes this place beautiful. Food is good, we ate outside the hotel and also in the hotel restaurant. The hotel charges for valet parking which we did not read in our confirmation sheet. You can park your car in open. Buffet breakfast is available only on weekends which was a disappointment.
