Stopping by the Blakeslee Vineyard was a wonderful treat! The vineyard itself is lovely but the tasting room, manned by Jordan, was an absolute delight! Each of the 5 wines we tasted were a delight but Jordan's patient instruction as well as her detailed explanations of the wines and the area, made the entire experience absolutely wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Blakeslee Vineyards and highly recommend the experience of the wine tasting experience there!

Blakeslee vineyard is one my favorite small wineries to visit. A superb small tasting room, excellent wines that a generally a little less expensive than the big names (still it is Oregon Pinot). They have a small beautiful estate with pool. YOu can order a small lunch, buy a glass of wine and take in the spectacular views of Mount Hood. 25 minutes from Portland (w/ no traffic) on 99w just after Sherwood. Worth a visit. and better than the better known Rex Hill.

Opened in May of 2013, Blakeslee Vineyard Estates is a new winery on the Oregon Wine Trail just off US99. But what it lacks in prestige it makes up for in beauty and some truly fine Pinot Noirs. The estate itself is a gorgeous, serene setting of vines and pines, with a grounds clearly designed to take advantage of the hillside views of the surrounding valley and Mt. Hood. Our host for the day, Brandon, gave us a tour of the area, including the outdoor seating area complete with fireplace and pit, pizza oven, and infinity pool and hot tub. The owners live on site and have a special reception area for club members (and the occasional new guests who just happen upon the place when it's quiet). The $15 tasting fee (refundable with bottle purchase) is a bit steep and the wines are pretty spendy but worth it. And their estate Pinot is worth every bit of its $38 price tag, with just a touch of pepper and deep red fruit.
