A nice selection of vines for tasting. Not in the Newberg area and far enough from Portland to have a reasonable tasting cost of $5.00. Especially like the rose, a lot more character than the usual and the Riesling was less sweet than most with more flavor. In an area with so many great Pinots it is good to find a selection of lights to enjoy. The tasting room is not deluxe, but the staff is helpful and there is an interesting selection of merchandise for purchase.

Stopped hereover the tday weekend, I've always liked their wine so I thought I would check it out. Ladies in the front room ( cash registers) were very nice.. The heavyset gal with long brown hair doing the pouring in the cellar was terrible, seemed pissed that we did'nt want to taste the whites, then gave one pour (Out of 4 available) and proceeded to ignore us and several other people. Not a great way to introdue people to your product, we just left, my wife remarked that for the first time in 10 years we were leaving a winery without buying any wine!!!

I fell in love with red wines after tasting Firesteed Pinot Noir a number of years ago so naturally our firs stop of our weekend winetasting was at Firesteed Cellars. The tasting room was intimate & hostess welcoming. She had worked for Firesteed for a number of years and was very informative. We ended up with a pair of beautiful wine glasses designed just for Oregon Pinot Noir.

This vineyard was incredible; from the owner to the wine you could not ask for a better experience. Deb was gracious, personable and funny; we didn't want to leave! We will definitely visit again!
