Have been to the Heritage Station Museum for some lectures and toured it several times, always find interesting things there, some of which is old and some newer items. have recognized several of the pictures that are on display.

as you can see, I really wanted to talk about the underground tunnels which you do not have as a choice (why?) fascinating would like to see more emphasis on the really interesting aspects too much time spent touring the facilities for and talking about the worlds second oldest profession

Have no idea why a museum of this nature would not be open on Monday.......but this seemed to be a theme throughout Pendleton...many other stores were also not open so if you plan to visit Pendleton on a MONDAY BEWARE...!!!!!

Great displays. I'm so impressed with the history here. The city council and historical society should be praised for preserving these items.

Our drive through was hot and this was a lovely way to spend time in the heat of the day in this neat locally focused museum. We did venture out to the cabin and caboose that were neat. It was very hot, but worth it. This is definitely worth seeing. I noticed how much pride all the people working there seemed to have about the collections.

Great collection of old stuff..and we are old so liked it. We took about one hour viewing several rooms, including an old Union Pacific caboose and an orginal home (16 x 20 cabin that housed a family of 10).

There was so much to see and do it was just a jam packed day. The only thing I didn't like was the heat during the day and it was own fault to not drink enough water.

Must disclose that we are local and are very proud of this museum. It covers early Umatilla history and portrays pioneer life well. Exhibits change about ever 4 months or so. Even though it is located in an old railroad station the focus is not on railroad history but early day settlers. It is well worth a stop on your travels.

With this museum being at an old train station I thought it would have more about trains and railroads. It only had a caboose. Most of the museum was about the white settlement of Pendleton and while the museum has nice job of curating local artifacts until longer historical events (such as automobiles and communications) these are exhibits you have seen before. Chances are you have a very similar museum in your home town. It's well done but not outstanding.

A true trip back into time. The autos and related memorabilia were fantastic. The museum is self-guided so you can take as long as you want at the various displays. Good for the whole family.

The Museum has something for all age groups here & is conveniently located just a short drive off the 84-FWY. It is housed in the old railway depot &makes for a nice 1-2 hr diversion while traveling through. Has history of the local area as well as an exhibit on the people coming through on the Oregon Trail. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with a homestead, a caboose and a school house from the 1800s Open Tues - Sat 10-4pm,

This little museum was a real gem. There are only two large rooms of displays, but they are stuffed with really interesting things. They did a good job of identifying items and labeling them. Although it might seem like a hodge podge of stuff, it really gave us an interesting overview of the history of Pendleton. Outside there were other things to see, a caboose, a homestead and a school house. I would actually go back here again because I thought the indoor displays were very interesting. This should be on the top of everyone's list when coming to Pendleton.

This place isn't just about the Oregon Trail. If you are a car history buff, this place has it all. Good lay out, lots of room. I'm sure you'd learn something from a visit here.

Exhibits change often and are always interesting. This is a great place to learn the history of Pendleton and Umatilla County. Lots of fun and entertainment for the whole family.

An excellent place to spend the afternoon. Older kids (12+) will enjoy the hands on buildings and train car.
