My wife and I were married here just over a year ago and it was an overall great experience. The staff was great, the food was great, and the venue/scenery was beyond great. Would recommend to anyone looking for a venue.

Even when the snow is sparse they have many of the runs open. Groomed and ready for some down hill fabulous times. The views from up top will make you stop and absorb the beauty which is spectacular on a blue bird day! The service excellent and always appreciated by the entire staff.

We spent two days here- on day 1 we had 4 kids in ski school from ages 2-8. Instructors were kind, knowledgeable and professional. Our kids learned a ton and had a great time. Day 2 was just our family of 4. Our son took a private show boarding lesson with his instructor from the day before. He was amazing! My son advanced so much. I highly recommend Brian Anderson! Great teacher! The overall service from rentals to ski school to the attentive attitude in the lodge is spot on! We live in California and will make this our new ski destination!

I love coming here! It's a great place to start learning to ski with multiple levels of difficulty. I can't wait to go skiing again.

Spring Skiing in April-May! The closest sking to the Alps except no one skis over your skis to get to the lift. A lot ov variation: Wide open Valleys; Bowls from easy single blacks to OMG; enough trails to keep Greenies and Blues busy. All staff very friendly and helpful. One word of caution: When you beat a bowl to death and are on a green approach to a lift DON'T RELAX. I did and picked up three broken ribs for my efforts. Sure glad it was the next to last day!

I have been repeatedly given the impression that the staff of Mt. Hood Meadows does not care about personal property. A number of years ago I had a snowboard stolen from the racks at Meadows. Since then I have noticed no change in security (e.g. security cameras). This being the case I usually bring a lock for my non-pass holder friends to use at the racks outside, while I use ski check, so that we can secure our equipment. On the last day of the regular season this year, I was on my last run of the day...the lifts had just shut down. Upon reaching the bottom and heading into the lodge, I observed that the racks were in the process of being put away. When I got closer that's when I noticed the rack where my friend's snowboard was, now gone...her snowboard was on the ground, and laying next to it was my broken lock. As you can imagine, I was upset by this...this is completely unacceptable. The snowboard was just left there to be stolen...the lodge was still open, there were still drinks being served, my friend was paying her bill at the bar. I complained to the concierge and sent messages to Meadows over social media...getting no response. Thus I am leaving this review so that others are aware of the practices I have observed.

I started skiing last year and bought a season pass at Meadows this year, which means I've been pushing myself to get up a lot this year even during the earlier part of the season when there was little snow (late season this year). Even with bad conditions, Meadows did what they could to open as much terrain as early as possible while other resorts in the region remain closed. Luckily the snow came later, and it looks like Meadows is going to be open later than usual this year, giving me more value for my pass. Initially as a beginner and now a more intermediate skier, I'm pleased with both the size and options on Meadows terrain. There are good starter green runs -- they even have a nice magic carpet for total beginners -- and there are a ton of blue runs to explore that go all over the park. Lift lines sometimes happen, but they aren't horrible, and most of the lifts are high speed detachable quad style, which helps. One thing Meadows could improve on is having more signs on the mountain with maps and grooming information. However, the information supplied on their website is great. The conditions report is about the most detailed conditions report I've seen for a ski resort, and they're very timely with updating parking and grooming information. One other downside is that Meadows does seem to have some aggressive skiers/boarders, and I haven't seen anybody out on the slopes regulating them, which I've seen at other places. It's generally easy, though, to figure out which places to avoid. Finding uncrowded slopes isn't hard due to the size of Meadows. Oh yeah, and the food in the cafeteria isn't great. However, I've found the staff and other customers to be pretty friendly. Overall, I think I'm sticking with Meadows. I think it provides the most options in terrain, size and ability to remain open of the Hood resorts.

Great terrain options for advanced skiers and riders! Early learners will find riding the main lifts to be very challenging. The main parking lot fills up quickly on weekends and holidays. Great RFID ticket gates for the lifts with altitude trackers for pass holders.

This place is spectacular. when you get to the top, you have the most incredible views. Then you have to get down. I am a fairly confident skier and usually warm up on greens and then move on to some of the easier blue runs. There green was more like double blue to me. I had a few pretty spectacular crashes and a few near misses. All in all an amazing day.

It was almost summer when I went to Oregon and my brother was afraid that I won't be able to see snow. Luckily, there's still snow in Mount Hood. I was so happy. It's a very memorable first time to experience snow :)

We so enjoyed our visit to Mt Hood Meadows on April 1, 2013. My two grandaughters had their first ski lessons and we were very impressed ski instructor, and how well the girls skied after their 2 hour lesson. We watched the girls learning to ski from the restaurant while sipping yummy Thai soup, sweet potato fries and microbeers. Perfect day!~!

Varied terrain, weighted towards BD etc. Lift tickets are overpriced. Food is average. There is no discipline on this hill. I have been sideswiped by another skiier, and my brother and fiance were knocked down by other skiiers/snowboarders as well. This is a result of the administration's unwillingness to kick reckless skiiers/snowboarders off the hill and also a result of the ski patrol being non-existent. MHM hides behind the legislated immunity that all ski hills have, so it's up to you. Ski/snowboard at your own risk!!

From parking (plentiful) to shuttles (convenient & friendly) to lift lines (efficient) to the skiing itself (unbelievable), Meadows is THE place to go skiing on Mt. Hood. Let the tourists flock to Timberline for the lodge, let the cheapskates go to Ski Bowl. Real ski enthusiasts will not be disappointed by Meadows.
