Must do hike down. Enjoy all the turns and surprises. Easy access to the churning water or view from above

Beautiful area to get out and stretch your legs and enjoy the view! We didn't catch the Devil's Churn at high tide but it was still cool to see. This stretch of coast is breathtaking! Oh and we didn't have to pay any park fees- there was one lot where they were collecting, with washrooms and an info booth with tide info, but if you kept driving a short way there was another lot that was free- just a short walk to see the natural attractions!

Visit during the winter time, the waves sound like thunder crashing along the basalt rocks. Be careful wandering around, the rocks can be slippery and the waves can be unpredictable.

Yep. That's right. Terrible. Don't bother visiting one of the most amazing places on the coast. It's just some waves crashing on rocks, and some green and purple and red and orange critters that live in said rocks here and there. And it costs five whole dollars (which is good at all the state parks, for that day)Yep. It's a view from the parking area above, or a long 1/4 mile walk to see stuff up close below, on paved paths. Excruciating! And they only offer hot dogs. Even the seagulls balk.Stick to Cannon Beach. I hear it's really nice.

How does one rate mother earth's creations? I guess it's Ok to do :) Devil's Churn is awesome, in the truest sense of the word. Go there, enjoy the site and also catch Spouting Horn and Thor's Well. Hike to the top of the mountain behind where you stand to see these features to see a really cool stone shelter at the tippy top of the mountain (you can hike up or drive to the top)

I visited Devil's Churn during low tide. The views were breathtaking and the prime location just off Highway 101 was great. But unfortunately there was no churning, no crashing, no awe-inspiring spectacle. So I do recommend being aware of high tide. The visitor's center nearby offered tide charts, so those can come in really handy.

You can feel the force of the Pacific crashing against the rocks. An awe-inspiring site. The whole Cape Perpetua Area is a great spot to hike, have lunch, spend a few hours. It's beautiful and not crowded.

This is one of my two favorite spots on this earth - Infact I have dragged as adults my children there yet again to show them where my ashes should go. The spot is amazing -Make sure to get a good tide chart and be there when tide is coming in towards high tide. The waves smashing into the rocks will awe you. When you walk up the "churn" you will here the sound of the water coming up and back with the wave action. Hiking on the other side of the feature are some great rock features with a variety of sea life and the beach. Make sure to where some good shoes - or boots - yes you can fall if not careful and with the advancing years I stay pretty careful.

Everyone in our travel group loved this and couldn't take themselves away from viewing...at many locations. A great stop (one of many) along the Pacific Coast Highway 101--not to be missed. I found the southern portion of the coast the most enjoyable. this is quick, park the car and walk a bit; but worth it. Great photo op and wonderful to talk about on your return home.

The Devil's Churn makes an excellent quick stop on your drive along the coast. You can observe the roaring waters from the parking lot or walk a short distance down for a more close up view. It's very dramatic either way. There are restrooms available in the parking lot too.

As with all Oregon points of interest, clean and well tended. Always meet interesting travelers at these pullovers.

What's to say? It's always a thrilling place to observe. We didn't walk down the cliff but you can see all you want from the parking area.

Fun to visit like all the other coastal sites. It will show you the power of the ocean. How can all that soft looking water be so harsh? Definitely wouldn't want to try and swim in it!

Worth a quick stop when you drive by, you can walk all the way down which is pretty nice. Oh and you can go to the toilet as well.
