Nice museum. Allowed us to learn a little about the area in a short amount of time. Had exhibits for the kids allowing them to touch something.

I really enjoyed this museum! It was fascinating to learn about the Modoc Indian war and other local history. The admission price was very reasonable. I enjoyed also visiting with the staff and they were quite helpful in recommending a place for lunch.

We stopped in and found an excellent regional museum focusing on the early pioneer times of Klamath Falls. Lots of displays leading up to modern day, really gave us a picture of what it was like there. Lovely ladies behind the counter as well!

This museum has great exhibits on native Americans in Oregon, pioneer days in the area, the local forests, some classic cars and local minerals. Low entry price and a nice gift shop. Worth an hour or two if you like local color.

This museum touches on a lot of history that you won't find in other museums. We were surprised that there wasn't more about the local native culture. What a learning experience. Low cost, nice for a quick visit.

Sat in on a lecture about local historical sites that just happened to be going on that evening. Friendly local people.

The displays hadn't changed at all in the past ten years and when I went in to see it last month there were changes in the works and they had a really cool new section for children that was pretty hands on. It is a smaller museum but still has very interesting things to see. When I asked about the geology room (it was gone no pretty rocks) they let me know they were working on bring it back soon as well. The best part is that you can take the trolley ride for only 1.00. It takes you through downtown Klamath Falls and tells you the history. You can get off and on the trolley as you fancy. We got off at Veteran's park and had a picnic and feed the ducks. You could also stop into to see the Baldwin Hotel and Favell Museums along the ride as well as visit the Klamath Art Gallery.

We went there with the kids. Such a great time! There is lots to look at, and enough to help the kids not whine the whole time! ;) Check out the forestry display!

Has some interesting things to see. It isn't very much money. I have been there several times over the years. Check it out.

When we got to town, it was too early to check into our motel and the weather wasn't cooperating to do anything outside, so we stopped into the museum. It's pretty good sized for a small town museum and the $5 admission is reasonable. Their corner on logging and forestry is more informative than the entire World Forestry Center in Portland. There is a lot of information on the history of the local Native Americans and my boyfriend was fascinated by the blacksmith shop. The sections on local history didn't interest us as much. The museum could use some better upkeep. Several of the written cards in the displays were so worn they were difficult to read, if we were able to at all.

Historic and interesting exhibits. Very worth spending the time to get a feel for the history and wildlife in this beautiful Klamath Basin. I recommend a visit to the museum for locals and travelers alike!

The Klamath County Museum has excellent historical displays, and it is good for families. If you go to Klamath, however, you must go to Favell Museum, which has truly astonishing collections of Native American and Indian artifacts from around the world. Some items are more than 13,000 years old, and they include arrowheads, knives, stone tools, clothing, beadwork, basketry, and pottery. In addition, the museum showcases art from famous contemporary western artists.

Our shuttle driver from the Running Y Ranch recommended this museum to us as a “must see” while visiting downtown Klamath Falls. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this museum. While housed in not a very large building, we found the exhibits to be very well laid out and interesting. Allow yourself about an hour or so to view all the displays.

Hadn't been to the county museum in about a year. What a change~ the exhibits were different, while hanging on to some favorites. Really inexpensive, great for 1/2 day with kids something different to do. Will go again this summer.
