We went to a concert here, and ate dinner in the restaurant, The Flatwater Bar and Grill. Smoking is allowed almost everywhere, and I would not go back, for that reason. The food was okay; not bad, not great, just okay. We first sat at a table in the bar, and no one came to our table, so we moved to the bar, at which point our order was taken promptly.

I used to visit First Council quite often, but this past year they have tightened up their slot machines. Can't play hard if you lose hard. I will admit they have plenty of slot machines to play and table games. The staff has always been very pleasant. I usually eat at the cafe or the Flat Water as both are good and reasonably priced. Their hotel rooms are always immaculate and with my comps, I rarely have to pay for my room. I have learned not to go on the weekends anymore ... chomp, chomp, chomp $$$. Best to visit during the weekdays as they appear to cater more to those 50 and over (I usually walk out with a profit). My most profitable years were 2012 and 2013. Don't know what caused the 'kill' of having fun in 2014. Tightened up their slot machines, that's for sure, aside from the High Limit room that pays out alot of jackpots - most of us seniors/retirees can't afford to play high stakes. Overall, First Council is a nice play to play and have fun. If you aren't enjoying yourself there, you can walk over to their gas station casino which is alot smaller, but they tend to pay out more often. And, if you need to gas up before hitting the road, this little station always seems to have the lowest price on gasoline (and if you're hungry, their Hunt's Pizza is pretty good).

We were there November 28th. Went in with $100 & $45 matchplay. Was there 5 mins and was up $600. Max betting penny machines. Played for 7hrs straight. Had one peeny machine up to $2300 on the machine. Played 3-card poker. Hit several flushes, straights & was delta a straight-flush with a $25 bet on pairs-plus. Sweet little $1000 payday. Was getting annoyed with the waitress's asking us every 10 min if we wanted another drink lol. We had a meal in the restaurant. Very good food and the price is unbeatable. We left up over 3k. Rick

I couldn't remember why I hadn't been to this casino in some time. After my recent visit I soon remembered why. I didn't see too many folks winning. We had a party of 4 and none of us won. in the past years I've been to many casinos and this one would be at the bottom. I wont be back and don't recommend unless you like loosing money. I even paid over $100 for a room, plus what I lost in the casino. Disappointed.

Went to this casino to play 3 card poker. Was told it would open at 6 o'clock. So we waited 3 hours until 6:30pm and asked if they were going to open it. We got a very harsh "yes right now" from the male floor supervisor. Then came the very bad experience, a female floor supervisor apparently was going to have to deal the game until a dealer was available. She was very ticked off and let it show. She was very sharp and so rude we almost left the table without playing, but since they did open it we stayed and played. After being relieved of dealing the supervisor came off the table and was rude with everyone e she came in contact with. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHETHER NATIVE AMERICAN OR NOT. Because it sure wasn't here by supervisors. The regular dealers were very friendly, something the supervisors should learn from.

We didn't win much but some. The best part was the restaurant Flat Water- we had prime rib, baked pot, salad, Fried mushrooms with ranch dressing and a marguarita each and our bill was less than 35.00- can't beat that. We also spent the night at the hotel and it was a Saturday so we knew we would have to pay more but it was only 119.00 plus tax and its pretty new so we were pleased. We only live about an hour and a half away so will probably return. Hope we win more next time...

I have been going down to the casino every week for the last year, and play many different machines from penny to 5 dollar, and can honestly say it is the biggest rip off I have ever seen. I would not recommend this casino to my worst enemy.. It wouldn't be so bad if the machines would just play with you but they don't at all stay away burning your money would be much funner believe me

I was there on Saturday night...slots were so tight they bordered on boring...I think I will rent a red box next time and stay home

Poor, or substandard quality, AKA, typical Native American government operation. Poor food service, slow, poor management and over all below average experience. I cannot recommend the hotel, flat water grill or the location, and I will not do it again.

This casino is packed so tight with slot machines that my wheelchair couldn't fit thru! My husband had to whined this way and that and even ask people to move. Now the concert venue has set seating. They used to move chairs for me so I could sit with my husband. I don't know what they will do now. I will find out on Friday when I go watch fights. Highly disappointed.

My husband and I travelled to this casino so I could attend the BB KING concert. THe event center really gets incredible talent even tho it is a small venue. He was very disappointed when when got there to find they had taken out the poker room. The hotel room was new, pretty basic amentities and breakfast for $170!We'll not go back!

My husband and I have been to shows at the casino in the past. We sat comfortably and loved the venue! However, in March 2013 we went to see Credence Clearwater Revisited, It was a great show, but we were disappointed in the new seats. The casino used to have folding chairs that us larger folk could kind of move around slightly to not crowd others. Now the casino has gone with chairs that are attached to each other and there is no way to move them. My husband is large and an even larger woman had the seat two seats down from my husband. I had to sit completely sideways glued to my husband. Luckily my husband had an isle seat or I do not think the three of us could have all sat. The venue is fine for average size folks, but if you are a large person, just be aware that you will be uncomfortable. Try to get an aisle seat. Also, if you want to eat at the restaurant there before the show, plan on it taking over an hour to eat. The food is good, but the service is slow.
