I did not have a chance to play the new holes, but they looked fantastic and very challenging. They will make a great addition to an already tough course.

I really like the golf course and the staff there is very good also. Keep your eyes open in left rough between 11 and 18...big bobcat! Take a few extra balls just in case you hit a few crooked. A good camera is a good idea too becasue there are some great views.

I really enjoy playing this course. Difficult but fun to play. Very nice facilities. Prices are decent and they include round, cart, and range balls. I am a normal golfer here now over silverado. Pay a little extra and come here. Pro shop is smaller but has a lot of products.

Chickasaw Pointe Golf Course, near Kingston, Oklahoma is set on a terrific piece of property overlooking Lake Texoma and is one of the state run golf courses and part of the developing Pointe Vista development. (www.ponte-vista.com). The golf course is set on a site with some great topography and views. Weaving in and out of the woods, it provides a variety of challenging shots and holes. There are a variety of holes ranging from okay to exceptional. A few of the favorite holes would be #4, #9, #10, #12 & #14. These holes all use the topo and trees very well to demand creative shots to navigate the holes. A noticeable design element you will see is there are some large, natural swales that creep into the fairways and act as penal area off the tee, #15 especially). A few of the holes are a bit a bit bland and feel like wasted opportunities as they are flat and rather uninteresting (#1, #6, #11 & unfortunately #18, which is a semi-blind jaunt uphill. Overall it is definitely worth a trip down from OKC or up from Dallas. Hopefully when the full development get going, whenever that will be, there will be more of a draw. Choctaw casino is withing driving range to the east and Winstar World Casino to the west. This course is certainly more fun than Winstar which unfortunately did not take advantage of the topo in this part of the state. If you are in the area, this is certainly the best test of golf as compared to other state golf courses. Chickasaw Pointe is always rated very high for courses in Oklahoma, but it is not as great as it's rated. There are some nice views of Lake Texoma, plus some challenging holes though. Roman Nose State Park, and Cedar Creek at Beavers Bend in Oklahoma are a lot of fun and nice courses for a lot less money. Chickasaw Pointe is not a very friendly course for average golfers.
