In the basement, they have a 1939 Deluxe Ford sedan. Right on the front it has a sign which reads: Just like the car Bonnie and Clyde was killed in...funny that Bonnie and Clyde drove a 1933 Ford sedan at the time they were ambushed in 1934, not 1939.

Although I grew up in Hinton it's refreshing to stop by and say hello and take a step back in history. They have a great display of various historical items. Take time next time your driving through Hinton and get acquainted.

This museum packs a big selection in a small looking exterior. Once inside, it is much vaster than the outside leads you to believe. The upper story has a collection of things discovered locally and information about the wagon road in Oklahoma. There are many items that show the progression of technology in household appliances. A collection of bicycle styles is quite interesting. The lower story contains the largest buggy collection in Oklahoma. Many pristine examples show the changes as time and economical status progressed. The car collection is also very interesting. If you are lucky enough to strike up a conversation with the curator, take advantage of it. He is extremely knowledgeable about many historical items and the most informed person about the wagon road through Oklahoma that I have ever run across.
