You will not find an area with as much history as you will find at autograph rock. The only problem is that it is on private property and you must have permision to be there.

This is history frozen in time. Travelers along the Santa Fe Trail, during trail days would stop here for water on their 4 month journey across the plains from Missouri to Santa Fe. With a little time to spare many carved their names, dates and other graffiti in the sandstone cliffs. This is private property and permission is required. You might ask at the court House in Boise City, Oklahoma.

This area is fantastic for sightseeing, autograph rock, mummy cave, petroglyphs, dinosaur bones area, dinosaur tracks in stone creek bottom, robbers roost, black mesa, old stone cabins. A place that should be turned into a national park.
