This was a really cool spot, well worth the visit. The gentlemen working there are well versed in all the local history, and you will be surprised at the things you will see there.

There were two guys inside that are more than happy to share the history with you when you go inside.

It is a quick tour of beautiful carvings but there is also Tiffany original stained glass windows. The monument is in the middle of Public Square with much more to see within walking distance, the Cleveland Public library, the old arcade, East 4th street restaurants, House of Blues, Horseshoe casino and Tower City.

definitely a must see when visiting Cleveland, we need to honor our fallen and those who served. Well kept, clean, informative... like walking back in time.

Beautiful monument in the middle of downtown Cleveland. Well worth a short visit at no expense but your time. Love these small memorials that give context to our everyday freedom.

A reminder of past military sacrifice for our country's ideals. Stop here and be reminded of how much was given to preserve and protect.

Should be visited at least once by patriotic citizens, particularly Ohioans ; excellent vintage facility but needs our donations for upkeep

This is an unusually fine Civil War Memorial in the heart of Cleveland. I love this monument. It is unusually beautiful, well constructed and a gloriously nice. DONT FORGET WHAT THIS REPRESENTSMy great grandfather was the engineer who constructed it.Few years back some idiot City leaders wanted to take it down. Thank God that plan was trashed.

You have to actually walk all the way around this monument because there are so many things to see, it is gorgeous and a great tribute to the fallen. What a beautiful way to remember those we have lost. It is really big and takes up a block of the square. I loved looking at all the detail and took many pictures of all aspects and sides of it.

This literally is in the middle of the downtown. It was a very nice monument. We went here as part of a ghost tour and got to go in the tunnels that run underneath the streets in downtown which was really cool.

This place is remarkable to see all the names of all the men and women who fought in wars. This place is in the heart of downtown Cleveland and free to see. The people inside it are always friendly, out going and willing to answer any of your questions. The cool thing about this place is its has been in Cleveland ever since Cleveland was first founded.

I was walking out of tower city and this memorial caught my eye. It is quite large and impressive. Brings a lot of character to the downtown atmosphere. If you are walking around downtown, this is definitely something you should look at.

My son and I went to Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and stayed at the Wyndham. The civil war memorial in downtown Cleveland is a short walk on the way to the Hall of Fame. This memorial is worth a walk around and definitely go inside to see the many photos and information about this piece of history.

Growing up in the greater Cleveland area I had see this monument as part of the Public Square landscape for many years. Then one day road construction diverted my pathway to cross in front of the entry door, and I discovered a public secret! It is such a cool place. The monument houses a museum in its inner belly that is so informative and interesting. Have visited over the years and the uniqueness still interests me.
