My parents came into town recently and we went on Sheila Campbell's culinary tour of German Village. I have been living in the Village for four years. Despite this, I knew very little about my neighborhood's architectural and culinary history. Sheila did a superb job of explaining the details about things that I have come to take for granted about the area. The people she introduced us to were excellent and the sites she chose to visit really highlighted the best of the Village.I would recommend this tour to everyone who has a free afternoon on a nice day!

I went to the Christmas Cookie Clinic today. Sheila had it very festive with the warmth of a Christmas kitchen and Christmas Music. She gave us history of the origins where spices and recipes came from all around the world. We got hands on baking and decorating, and even got to take our Christmas cookies home in cute little Boxes! I would definitely recommend this Cookie clinic to anyone! Great Mother daughter or friend fun thing to do!

Today I participated in my third A La Carte Food tour. Sheila Campbell is so fabulous....it's obvious she loves sharing her passion and knowledge for food and it's history. She is so well organized and the afternoon was jammed packed with information and hands-on fun as we all joined in to travel the world via her delicious Christmas cookies.

My boyfriend and I attended Sheila's culinary tour of the German Village. It was a lot of fun. The Village is beautiful, quaint and full of interesting history and the food was delicious. Sheila has such a great personality and you can tell she really enjoys sharing experiences and food with people. Both her and Tim, the owner of the Village's fudge shop, are a bundle of joy! :)

Amazing; If you are looking for a unique thing to do in Columbus this is awesome. It is a little "touristy"; however, learning all about the Village and tasting as you go - you do get a lot of bang for your buck!

We recieved a gift certificate for A La Carte Food Tours. Chose to take the German Village tour. Sheila Campbell was awesome !! She shared not only food samples - but also she had so much knowledge about German Village and it's history. This tour is so worth the money and the time - would do it again !! You can tell she takes so much time preparing for her tours. Was a great way to spend a Sat. afternoon.

I had an absolutely fabulous time. The trip was a great combination of food, learning, sight seeing and enjoying the culture. This is the second and def not the last tour I will take with Sheila Campbell ( I have actually pre-registered for France 2014!). I had an amazing experience with Sheila two years prior in Costa Rica. The hotel selected for Cozumel was breathtaking! The hotel actually looked like it did on the website! We were able to have cooking lessons with the hotel chef and the best chef on the island Emily Egge! Sheila is a wealth of knowledge and has a fun way of sharing it with you. Chocolate, Tequila and visiting the local restaurants- what could be better?!! I would highly recommend this tour- for both foodies and dietitians!!

Sheila worked with Kelly Harvey at Signature Wines to put on a fun and educational event. We learned a great sangria recipe and the fish tacos were terrific. I came with a friend and we're both looking for another a la carte Food Tour to participate in.

Sheila has a passion for tasting good food/eating well, food science, and entertaining around food--and it shows: she creates and gives fascinating, delicious, and informative continuing ed tours. My husband and I went on the Tasting Cozumel trip in February, 2013 and had an extremely enjoyable time the entire week. We were treated to instructions with chefs, taken to a variety of restaurants, shops, and the local mercado for the culinary experience, went to museums and numerous local sites for the cultural experience, and, meanwhile, gained an incredible amount of info. Sheila is very professional, informative, and fun to be with. She is willing to accomodate personal interests and preferences, which added even more to the experience as a whole--every person on the tour was included and embraced. I gained much from the trip. I definitely would recommend CEUs via Sheila! And, if CEUs are not needed, I would recommend touring with Sheila just for a great time!

Chocolate, tequila, ceviche, agua frescas, tacos & more! What an amazing fun filled, food packed week! Where do I begin…Sheila is a highly knowledgeable dietician who has created an amazing program in the heart of the Riviera Maya (beloved Cozumel). Collaborating with local culinary enthusiasts and business owners Sheila provides participants with a true authentic experience of Mexico. As a participant from all angles (student/ observer as well as chef instructor for farewell dinner/ guide) what an amazing well-organized week in Cozumel we had! The program included just the right amount of coordinated activities with enough time to go out on your own and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean turquoise seas & Mexican sun. Sheila is on top of her stuff & truly a pleasure to work with! I am so happy to be a part of this 7-day Culinary Tour of Cozumel and look forward to doing it again. The chef herself learned a thing or tow during the week ;) Thank you Sheila!

I participated in a dinner that a professional group asked A La Carte Food Tours to create. Sheila Campbell worked with the planners to develop a tasty, special, "ginger centric" menu that ended with a fabulous ginger pound cake. The dinner was held at Signature Wines, a surprising micro-Winery hiding in a warehouse complex! It was a festive and fun evening designed to meet the group's specifications.... R.E.Booten

Had a great time touring some local ethnic food markets/groceries yesterday. Well organized and led by knowledgeable and entertaining host, Sheila Campbell. Learned about new foods and more about ethnic cuisine of some of my favorite cultures. Customers and staff at local markets friendly and helpful and made some purchases at lower prices than I find at more traditional food markets. Learned some great places to find unusual ingredients for interesting recipes. Looking forward to trying a restaurant tour. Tour could be great for families, couples, businesses or solo. You will meet interesting people on the tour or can book one for a work related group as well.

By all means, take this tour to find the little gems in Columbus-- ethnic markets. Ms. Campbell, your tour docent, shares an infectious enthusiasm and professional dietary knowledge about food and health. If you're tired of hamburgers, you should open your mind to other options for shopping (with surprisingly low prices), and food prep via the markets on the tour. Unfamiliar vegetables and fruit were de-mystified. Not only that, Sheila also prepares some light bites representative of the markets you visit. There is time built in to shop, if you wish, and time to ask questions. And the ride from place to place is very comfortable. It's fun, and you also get to meet new people!
