We love spending a pleasant hour wandering around Overfield Tavern Museum, imaging what life was like in the Ohio River Valley in the 1800s. As a historical landmark, it is unequaled in its restoration and its collection of items that would have been either handmade from local materials or brought by travelers. Each room is decorated to reflect its original use - tavern, kitchen, court, and sleeping rooms. Whether you are interested in Native American artifacts, or early Americana art and artifacts, or fire arms and militia items, this museum has it all.

It's small so don't expect to make a day of it (or even a couple hours) but if you are interested in history, this is a must see.

A terrific samll town museum and restored tavern from the first years of the nineteenth centuey. It is like stepping into Mr. Peabody's Wat Back machine.
