When we go to amish country , we always make a stop at Heini's. They have a very good discounton buying three circles of their famous cheeses. Butter cheese, baby lace swiss and colby are our favorites. And we buy exactly that !! They also have a nice selection of marinades, dips and dressings. We stop at Heini's right before we head home. That way we get our cheese home straight away, not letting it sit in the car. What a wonderful place to shop!!

We stopped in to get some cheese and we pleased with the large selection of both cheese and wine. Would recommend making a stop in you are in the area.

I don't know what I was thinking....I thought this place was like a country store that also sold cheese and wine in Amish country. It's a rather upscale place, with tons of wine -- if you can't find it there, they probably don't sell it! There was also a lot of cheese to choose from. There was live entertainment when we were there. Parking is a little dicey. Not enough spaces. Anyway, this is not a place to bring the kids (remember, I thought it was a country store!). We did pick up a few bottles of wine, though. If I were on a date with my husband or out with friends, it would be a nice place to sit, unwind and relax. It's not really kid-friendly, though.

Who knew that there was a place to pick up a bottle of wine in Amish Country? Fairly nice selection of Ohio wines, as well as well known labels. They had a live band playing when we arrived, and were serving wine by the bottle or glass as well. I wish we had allowed more time to stay.Check the hours before going - when we went in December, last call was 5:45pm, and they were closing at 6pm.

Heini's is a great place that many locals like to frequent on Saturday afternoons. They have a very impressive selection of Ohio wines and cheeses, plus live entertainment from 1 - 4 pm on most Saturdays. They also have a small bar, sandwiches, and wine tastings! If you are looking for something to do, check out Heini's!

They had live entertainment while we were there and a large variety of wine. The place was packed!, overall it was OK just nothing really special about the place

We were pleasantly surprised to find Heini's open in Sugarcreek until 7:00pm. We ordered from the draft beer selection, which was very impressive. There is a small menu with appetizers and sandwiches, and the service is good. The concept includes a large area in the middle of the store for seating, in addition to the beer section, wine section, and delicatessen. The wine tastings were offered for local Ohio wines, however there is a decent selection of both white and red wine at prices comparable to what we would pay outside of Amish country. We will definitely visit again!

There are a lot of Ohio wines available. Craft beer is minimal. There are novelty food items. The bar was crowded. Staff was good but not overly friendly.

Plan your day to arrive around 10:00 AM for opening or later in the day for live entertainment. No matter we you arrive be prepared of samples & samples of cheeses produced locally. The is a small indoor deli & a thrift shop downstairs in back if you belly does not get full & the other many items offered inside the market does not meet all your needs.

We always stop here when we're in the area. Great local wine and cheese selection with good prices. Wine and cheese samples are available. Upscale atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music. Gourmet-style shopping. MUCH nicer and cleaner than the original store in Bunker Hill (Berlin).

This market is actually a combination of a miniature version of Heini's Cheese house, a Winery offering tastings of various Ohio wines, a Craft Beer Tasting room, a great little deli for sandwiches and snacks, a carryout beer and wine shop, and they have entertainment from 1-4pm on Saturday afternoon! We gave up on a two hour wait in line at an Amish restaurant at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon. So we started for home and planned to stop at their market in Sugar Creek. Great idea and we got to taste a few of Heini's cheeses, then some nice Ohio wines. Bought a $15 bottle of wine to have with our two deli panini's, while we listened to the entertainers. They have different entertainment from 1-4pm each Saturday in the summer.Sandwiches are listed on the board so the offerings may vary. We had one Turkini on Ciabatta bread and a grilled Chicken breast on rye. You get one side with the sandwich and we both had the cole slaw (the girl told us that their coleslaw dressing is vinegar based rather than mayo and we LOVED it!). Some of the other sandwiches that day were grilled Rueben or Rachael, spinach wrap. Nice selection made fresh and hot. Order at counter and they bring to your table when ready.Next time we need to try their beers. Very casual atmosphere.

We love this place for cheese and Ohio wines. They also have a deli and the soup is not to be missed - Roasted Red Pepper with Smoked Gouda Cheese. We never miss having a bowl when in the area. There is wine tasting and now a beer bar as well. On the weekends they may have live music or a cooking demonstration. Great place!

If you can't decide which Heini's to visit In Amish country, let me help you. Visit The market In Sugarcreek! Nice little gourmet store with cheese samples, a wine tasting bar, and beer tasting bar. Lots of tables and seating, and quite often some live music. Great atmosphere! If you want a crowded cheese tour, go to the one In Berlin. If you want a good time, go to Heini's Market in Sugarcreek.

This is not the massive cheese factory but rather a really nice wine and beer retail store. They easily have the largest selection of drinks in the Ohio Amish country. They must have great distributors because they have tons of high quality brands. They also have a few beer taps in the back. They do have a small selection of cheese, meats and other snack type items.

We went here and they had a great selection wine plus they had samples of cheese. So you can get everything at once. They also have a seating area inside and out for a glass of wine or beer. Very nice place and friendly people.
