french creek reservation

the beautiful scenery back here makes for a very relaxing walk through the park whether it be alone or with your spouse.

French Creek is a nice park with trails through woods. It also has a visitor center near one entrance, and a play area for kids near the other. It's a good place to go to take a relaxing walk & enjoy nature.

Good long trails with plenty of variety. If you have dogs (or don't) you can get some good long walks in. Good parking and easy to find - we prefer the access off French Creek Road.

This is a excellent place to go and walk but as time goes on there are more and more people being attacked and robbed and not to mention all the drug activity that I have seen going on here. There are people on the trails who are visibly on drugs and on occasion I have seen used needles lying on the ground. I will no longer be taking walks here. I have no children but if I did this place would be off limits to them.

We were coming from another local park so we didn't explore the trails here, but we stopped for an hour or so to enjoy the nature center. It was very large with a couple of different stages and a classroom that has really impressive aquariums on both sides. There was also an information desk and a gift shop. There were animals both stuffed and alive. We came for the children's play area. It's not terrifically big, but it is very imaginative and all 3 of my kids (7, 4, & 1) very much enjoyed it. It was difficult to get them to leave. The area also had benches sized for parents looking out over a bird-watching spot. We saw no one else while we were there, which was suprising because if we lived closer we'd probably be there constantly. We're definitely planning to go back and enjoy a show some time.

A large portion of this reservation is devoted to a drama stage and drama program. It lacks the animal exhibits for the size it is. They do have outdoor and indoor nature programs.

Lots to look at, family oriented. LCMP has lots to offer the community and families.
