My daughter and I took 2 school-age boys from our neighborhood to the village one afternoon. The boys were really wanting to play on the playground and we had a hard time convincing them to go with us on the tour. They ended up LOVING it. We ended up getting a private tour and they got to ask a lot of questions and see some areas that normally are off limits with larger groups. They even got to make their own print in the print shop, which they loved. It took them a while to grasp the concept that the houses were from a range of time periods and all moved to this location for preservation, but eventually understood. It was fun having them equate things they do today to how it was to live in colonial times.

I have always enjoyed this Village of historic buildings collected from the surrounding area. It is a good representation of different types of buildings and different lifestyles of the past. Most recently I took my 7, 8 and 11 year old grandchilren for a tour. The guide was great at engaging the children in hands-on activities; they all enjoyed it and learned some history. The kids' favorite was the Country Store, mine is always the Doctor's Office. We did not have time to see everything so we will have a good reason to go back in the future! This village is situated in a county park so there are other activities such as picnicing, hiking the gorge, boating, with a shop and food available.

I have been here at least 15 times, in many different seasons as the Village is always changing with new additions or a seasonal flare. Took my granddaughters during The North-South reenactment period and they met a "real live solder from the civil war"....and got to hold a old gun. Good for all ages and expecially at Halloween with the hay rides and headless horseman.

Heritage Village is fantastic, in every way. Our guide, Adam, was filled with information that he shared, and he invited questions from us, too. The Village has a wonderful collection of original 19th century buildings moved to this location, spaced out in a beautiful setting among the trees and grassy areas, along the side of a creek. Each old building has an interesting (and sometimes important) history, which our guide fully explained. The architecture of the buildings is lovely and historic, with a dozen different styles. The interiors of all buildings are filled with furniture and materials related to the period when these buildings were used, and our guide built these into his explanations. A great experience that we recommend to everyone.

This historic village with 15 original buildings placed in the setting in a park is an event that you and your family will enjoy. It shows the lifestyle of the 1800s and has narrated tours of each building. Additionally there are special celebrations in the summer fall winter and spring. At Halloween all of the buildings have ghouls goblins and witches that will delight your children plus A hayride that would be fun for the entire generation. Don't miss the headless horseman as he's looking for your head. The winter holidays bring each building to their full glory with decorations from the period that the building is from plus father Santa Claus is there to listen to your children's wishes. In the summer there's both a Civil War reenactment. Plus an old-fashioned baseball game. Check the website for this village and bring as many as you can you'll all enjoy it.

The living history at Heritage Village is great. Sharon Woods is a treasure for the Cincinnati area.

There is lots to see here if you are into history. The homes and buildings are furnished with period items. My first visit, after paying my entrance fee I found that the buildings were not open, but someone would let me in. Really not what I had expected. I would recommend going on a day when there are lots of people so that all the buildings are open.

Heritage village is a collection of about a dozen buildings from the Greater Cincinnati area that were built during the 1800's. They include dwellings, a church, and commercial buildings. During the warmer months guided tours are available and during the winter months self-guided tours are available. Groups can contact the village for a guided tour anytime. There are also special events like Civil War days and vintage baseball games. Check out their website for more details.

Heritage Village is part of the Hamilton County Park system. These parks have something for everyone. Sharonville's Park is awesome, it not only has Haritage village but it also has a great walking trail, a lake where you can rent paddle boats and motorized fishing boats, indoor and outdoor play sets for the kids and a 18 hole golf course towards the back. Heritage village comes alive during Halloween with its festival and Cosplay staff. During Christmas they have a drive through light display. Through out the year they have re-enactments of civil war history. The buildings are also very cool to go in and explore. I would suggest getting the $5.00 park pass that lets you into this park anytime you want as well as the other Hamilton County Parks in the area.

My mother-in-law used to be an "interpreter" here. These are real historic buildings - relocated to this park over the years. Yo ulearn about the lifestyle of these people as you tour the buildings. Think of a very small scale Williamsburg Virginia.

For the price of admission I expect to be Wowed. Instead I find the village lacking, kind of on the pitiful side. The walkways are poor, there are weeds where flowers should be, the guides are inconsistant... for this I am charged actual money? really?

Liked the setting that was created to show old-style buildings. There is also a guided tour which I could not take. I could also watch people playing vintage baseball on a weekend which was a very nice experience.
