szalay's sweet corn farm

Most farm markets don't actually have a farm, but Szalay's dose. During corn season the wagon comes right from the field to the front of the market. Other produce is excellent as well.It's only open during the summer, and gets very busy on weekends with riders from the towpath bike trail stopping for fresh fruit sundaes, roasted sweet corn and fresh squeezed lemonade. If you're visiting the area you have to stop.Be aware that it is cash only. There is an ATM machine inside, but don't get in line to check out unless you've got the cash to pay.

This place has it all!!! Great entertainment for the whole family during summer and fall, you can enjoy the best sweet corn, ice cream, burgers , hot dog and more while listening to some live music! Perfect stop after enjoying Cuyahoga Valley National park and its trails! Grocery shopping is also a plus with their very fresh and tasty veggies, fruits, breads, compotes and salsa!!! Must visit at Fall time for the pumpkins and decoration!!!

We have been going to Szalay's (open seasonally) for many years. We love their locally sourced produce and specialty jams/jellies, sauces, and other treats. They also have food stands open on the weekends with ice cream, roasted corn, etc to complete the experience. Most seasons they have local crafts/decorations for display ad sale as well. With it's immediate proximity to the tow-path and CNVP we frequently make a morning/afternoon hike and then shop. Parking cane tight, so plan accordingly on for peak times.

Nice selection of products inside vegetables, nuts,jams,maple syrup,apple cider,pumpkins,gourds. Corn maze,food to eat. Nice little stop if in the area.

We like to stop by Szalay's when we're hiking or biking the Towpath. I don't know why we stop, because we rarely buy anything. It's nice to try the samples, but the prices are just not that great. It seems that many people enjoy the ice cream and corn-on-the-cob that you can buy and enjoy on their picnic tables...so if you're into that, go for it! Otherwise, you'll find better prices at a local farmer's market.

I love CORN ..... but this stuff is out of this world ...... I can't get enough of the stuff ..... Seriously if you haven't had their corn, you haven't had CORN AT ALL !!!

Every year we look forward to getting our corn at Szalay's. It comes in on a big wagon (sometimes more than once a day) and believe me, it is the freshest sweetest corn ever. We enjoy local produce and try to get here at least once a week. A wonderful place to bring a family and each year, they are creative with new ideas. (Fresh corn to eat, drinks, old fashioned rockers. etc.)The corn maze is a JOY for adults as well as kids later in the fall.HIGHLY recommend! It is a beautiful drive through the park to get here!

Whether I am riding my bicycle on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park towpath trail or driving in my car on the scenic national byway on Riverview Road, a stop at Szalay's farm, market, corn maze, outdoor rest area, and roasted corn corner is a must. They offer fresh fruits and vegetables, in season corn, fruit drinks, ice cream, hot dogs and other food choices. You can sit on a giant swing made for a giant or listen to various musical styles by guest musicians. People come on bicycles, tractors, cars, trucks and even a train or two. Szalays in open spring to fall and never fails to be the highlight of a visit to the area. There are many things to see and do within 5 miles of Szalay's. Don't miss it as it may be the best part of your day in the valley.
