wayne national forest

My wife and I traveled through Wayne National Forest yesterday as we drove through the area on the way to two different events we had in the area. This weekend is the height of the fall colors for the area, and they were just beautiful everywhere we went! We didn't partake of any of the other activities in the forest, but just driving through it was splendid!

ATV trails are gorgeous. Two downfalls--trail marking is not adequate and trails are two way but most parts are only wide enough for one machine. Ride with caution.

Driving by without an imminent deadline, I just had to pull over and go for a walk. This is some beautiful forest land with over 300 miles of trails in the whole forest (but it is divided into three areas). The ranger station is very nice and the folks there are super helpful in planning routes.
