Walking the mound is a beautiful place it's peaceful. Also it's a Indian burial mound for the Adenia Indians. If your ever in Miamisburg, Ohio this is a must see place to go plus it's a great way to learn some native American history.

Besides the historic aspect of this conical burial mound, it is located high atop Miamisburg with wonderful views of the city and surrounding areas. The Mound is located in a small park where you can take family and have a picnic in a well maintained area. Covered picnic tables. Horseshoes. Next to the 9-hole community golf course.

It's a massive prehistoric Indian burial mound situated in a municipal park. Sorry, as a former archaeologist, I "dig" this stuff. To most other who are unfamiliar with or its deep history, it's just a huge... mound.

This mound is unbelievable. Must see to appreciate the size. Kids will enjoy climbing the 100+ steps to get to the top. Interesting facts on the signs. Nearby shelter and playground if you would want to pack a lunch.

We drove off the interstate to the town of Miamisburg, Ohio to see the mound.We climbed up the 150 plus steps to see the view. Its a great little park with a shelter that was build in the 1930's by the WPA, as I remember.Its great that the community has come together to preserve this historic site.
