Museum has some very interesting permanent displays and events that happen year round. Went and saw the Ansel Adams exhibit and was so inspired by his wonderful photography that I went home and got my camera out. Upstairs they have a circus exhibit that was just exciting to see and other displays that remain year round. Thirsty or hungry? Down on the main floor is a small sandwich shop which is very good...no visit to Old Massillon would be complete without a visit to the museum.

I have been going to the Massillon Museum for about seventy years! It is a gem. There are classes, exhibits, discussion groups and a hand carved circus display - plus a gift shop and a place to snack and drink coffee. They have evening activities that are first class entertainment and food! The staff is top notch. You won't be disappointed and it is free!

I have visited three times during the Ansel Adams Exhibit. It will end on Sunday, Sept. 14th. Please do not miss this opportunity. It is worth your time. The beautiful photos remind you of our oneness with the environment and the four elements. Parking is easy on the street or in the City parking lot. It is free to get in the Museum and it has free wi-fi. They are working on a new cafe that will open soon.

I made a quick stop into the museum to check out the Ansel Adams exhibit. It was a beautiful exhibit of his water pictures, including pictures from other artists. As always, the Massillon Musuem did an amazing job. Check it out! It's free!

I invited my niece, a teenager, to come to a fine arts museum. It would be an first-time experience for her. So to the Canton ArtoMuseum we traveled only to find it was closed! The website indicated it was open! But a kind gentleman told us the Massillon Museum was open. It was not a fine arts museum as I had hoped, but the theme of the whole museum was Water! Photos by Ansil Adams were on display. My niece was fascinated. Right then I knew the trip was worth it. Excellent historic info on the Erie Canal, facts about water usage and care for this precious commodity were attractively displayed. It was an adventure for both of us.

What a great place to visit on any day! With the ever changing exhibits that feature not only local but national artists, this is a museum that shouldn't be missed.

The Museum continues to be more than one would ever expect from a small town museum. The most recent exhibit involves the incredible artwork of Nellie Toll, who became an artist as a child hiding from the Nazis during the Holocaust. A well done exhibit. We also had a private dinner in the lobby of the museum--great food and servcice -before getting a private tour of the state of the art archives on the 3rd floor. Here one gets to see just a few of the 110,000 plus artifacts the museum has in its collection. If you have not been I encourage you to go and keep coming back.

We always enjoy visiting the new featured art on the main floor. The miniature circus is always an interest for the kids. Parking is free.

Great local resource. Too many people do not realize this gem is in Stark County. They have a large variety of programs to encourage people to come back. The permanent exhibits are well laid out and give visitors a lot of information without overwhelming you. Lots of local history but often connect it to the larger context of America and beyond. Staff is excellent and friendly.

I went for the Odditorium exhibit and have to say I had more oddities in my home than they had in the exhibit. Interesting items but didn't consider it odd.

Go frequently to see the museum's outstanding shows.

They had a show going on when we attended using recycled materials. This is a very nice museum.
